http://ianmanborde.blogspot.com/2015/05/what-next-for-organised-labour.html
Saturday, 9 May 2015. What next for organised labour? Without doubt the 2015 general election outcomes present organised labour with considerable short and long-term challenges. We are approaching the last wretched gasps of the Coalition government, so it is no wonder then that much of the most urgent legislative reform is tabled at the end of a Parliamentary period, only after the ConDems have placed own priorities on the statute books. Thus the Modern Slavery Bill ( http:/ tinyurl.com/l8vfqjq. Long-since demanded, rears it head only now. Anti-Slavery International, for example (as commented on in the Guardian arti...

Ian Manborde: Race Equality & Organised Labour
http://ianmanborde.blogspot.com/2015/07/race-equality-organised-labour.html
Sunday, 5 July 2015. Race Equality and Organised Labour. Many thanks to Trish Lavelle (CWU Head of Education) and CWU colleagues at the union's magnificent education facility Alvescot Lodge in Oxforshire, for organising and hosting another fantastic BME Leadership Weekend. Yet again we have been able to work with an inspiring group of BME activists from across the union who are committed to achieving race equality within their workplaces and throughout union structures. AJ Singh, Chair CWU Race Advisory.
