Three men pleaded guilty today at the KL Magistrates Court for causing hurt to Shahrul Anuar Abd Aziz, 22, who was charged for theft, in a brawl at Low Yat Plaza after a shoplifting incident in July. Judge Muhamad Faizal Ismail ordered Low Leong Seng, 29, Eric Chan Weng, 23, and Soo Weng Hing, 26, to pay a fine of RM1,800 each, failing which they would face a two-month jail term.

A Sri Lankan man, who attempted to break into an apartment unit, died after he was beaten up by a group of men following a chase in Kota Kemuning here on Sunday. In the 3am incident, the 25-year-old man was trying to break in through the door of the unit on level two when the owner, who was inside, realised what was happening. They managed to catch the man and he was badly beaten by the lot.
