June 11, 2012 – July 19, 2012. Monday - Thursday 7:50 am – 1:00 pm. Wednesday, June 6, 2012. (Registration at Denton Middle School). 7:30 am – 1:30 pm. MCPSS Title 1 Schools – No Charge. MCPSS Non-Title Schools - $200 per student. Other School Systems - $300 per student. Provided daily – Free. Monday, June 11, 2012 First Day of Summer School. July 02 - 05, 2012 Holidays. Thursday, July 20, 2012 Last Day of Summer School. Students in grades 6 – 8 who have failed one core subject (Reading, Language Arts,. Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies) with a yearly average of 59 or below. Applications will be included in the 4. quarter report card and required for registration. Students must wear their base schools’ uniform each day. Transportation will be provided from Title I Schools. Students who attend Title I Schools will be picked up at their base school campuses and driven to the summer school site. Students will be driven back to their base school campuses at the end of the summer school day. How do Magnet School students qualify for the Summer Program? Magnet school students may attend the Summer School Program for potential promotion at. the site assigned for their zoned school. The magnet school students who attend the summer. program for promotion may not return to the magnet school the next year. They will return to. the zoned school of attendance in the fall. How do English Language Learners (ELL) qualify for the Summer School Program? ELL can qualify for the Summer School Program if they have a 3.9 or lower on the ACCES. for ELLs 2011-2012 and have a recommendation from the ESL teacher for summer school. ELL can qualify for the Summer School Program on the same guidelines as other students. Students in grades 6 – 8 who have failed core subjects (Reading, Language Arts,.
