Unconventional Us: Breastfeeding... disgusting?
http://unconventionalus.blogspot.com/2011/05/breastfeeding-disgusting.html
Thursday, 19 May 2011. I admit it, I surround myself with like minded women who don't bat an eyelid when I breastfeed G who is Two in a couple of weeks. The women who are not like minded respect my views and understand we are not all the same just as I respect other women and their choices. In this daily mail. Or was it the fact there was a baby attached to it? I wonder if the cafe owner stopped for one second to wonder why SHE thought it was disgusting? As a mother of 4 I am often confronted with things...

Ramblings on knitting, crochet and stitching. Asymp; 7 Comments. I have new work in progress to share very exciting! Since i finished my shawl. Over the weekend i’ve been thinking about tackling something big that isn’t another shawl. i’ve done 2 now and it’s still not really cold enough to wear either without feeling distinctly uncomfortably both from prickly warmth and odd looks from people who are still getting the last couple of weeks out of their summer sandals! My first gauge swatch! That yarn is g...

I spy with my altered eye: Dyeing to have fun
http://alteredeye.blogspot.com/2015/03/dyeing-to-have-fun.html
I spy with my altered eye. Monday, March 23, 2015. Dyeing to have fun. I spent a very happy Sunday afternoon last month with my friend, the inimitable Knitting Mongoose. Where she taught me a bit about dyeing. I don't know what came over me as I'm not usually a brights person, but obviously my subconscious desperately needed two rainbows. Dried and wound, the cakes of yarn look very different and I thought I would knit them up into a pair of socks. Dyeing to have fun. However, I decided that I really nee...

I spy with my altered eye: April 2015
http://alteredeye.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
I spy with my altered eye. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. There's got to be some benefits! It's been a bit of a month or so in our household. I've had a long running cold that turned into a chest infection, my son passed his driving test first go and hubby managed to miss a step on the stairs and broke a bone in his foot. I was away at spinning guild for the day, and fortunately I had my phone turned on (a rarity) and. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me on Pinterest. If the knit fits.

I spy with my altered eye: June 2014
http://alteredeye.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
I spy with my altered eye. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. I bought my first batt at Yarndale last year - a vision of soft loveliness from Hilltop Cloud.that satisfied my urge for something verdigris. As a fairly new spinner, I didn't appreciate what a challenge the fibre content would pose:. 40% Bluefaced Leicester (BFL). It was the camel that made me sweat the most as its staple length. I had to ask for advice on how to even spin from a batt and I started off by pulling off strips and spinning them longdraw.

I spy with my altered eye: October 2014
http://alteredeye.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
I spy with my altered eye. Friday, October 10, 2014. I did something big today. For years I was obsessed with paper crafts, especially rubber stamping. I spent a small fortune on them, even sourcing rarities from the USA. However, eventually my interests moved on and my supplies just sat marinating but neglected and taking up space. I feared what that would feel like but it feels right, freeing and timely. There's more, so much more to go, but it's a start. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

I spy with my altered eye. Monday, November 11, 2013. I've almost 2000 followers on pinterest. I find this bizarre and wonder how it has happened. I also wonder why I'm so interested in reaching an arbitrary number. Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.10. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me on Pinterest.
