Quirky Cultivator: 2015-07-05
http://quirkycultivator.blogspot.com/2015_07_05_archive.html
Chronicles from a creative life. Sunday, July 5, 2015. Delicious, simple and fresh. This is my version of bruschetta, an ages-old Italian appetizer. Unlike the classic, I don't bake or broil my bruschetta. You just can't do better than crackers (or toasted french bread) topped with fresh mozzarella and fresh tomatoes and basil from your garden. Be sure to dry off the tomatoes or the crackers/bread will be soggy. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Delicious, simple and fresh.

Chronicles from a creative life. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Sweet potatoes are taking over. I took it on faith that my sweet potatoes would vine out and spread wide. Now my faith has become sight. I'm having to fold my sweet potato vines back over themselves just to have room to walk in my garden. And to think that they started out so well-behaved when they were children. Links to this post. Chronicles from a creative life. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Some disease or insect is ruining my green bean leaves. If you know what this is, please leave a comment. The right-hand leaf is shown from the underside, and the veins are brownish/rust colored. The left-hand leaf is brown and kind of curled up at the edge. Links to this post. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Quirky Cultivator: Candidates were a strapping lot
http://quirkycultivator.blogspot.com/2015/09/candidates-were-strapping-lot.html
Chronicles from a creative life. Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Candidates were a strapping lot. I had lined up 10 candidates for the job. They sat quietly and when approached, showed their best advantages. Several sturdy, upright characters promised to handle whatever life might dish out. Others snapped to attention, displaying impressive organizational skills. They seemed to have their lives compartmentalized quite nicely. Orderly yet set in their ways, maybe they took themselves too seriously. My purse ...

Quirky Musings
The babbling and handiwork of a quirky virgo. Tuesday, June 26, 2007. I think the evil blogging gnomes have taken upon themselves to clean up around here. I posted last week before I left for the weekend and even checked to make sure it posted and it did. Then I came back and I have no bio or description and 2 blog posts are missing. Surely gnomes are to blame. Any insight? Posted by Tandi at 12:57 PM. Monday, June 11, 2007. We found this cool winery, Nehalam Bay Winery. Saw this cool sideways tree at th...

Chronicles from a creative life. Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Links to this post. Saturday, October 24, 2015. Today I am featuring a college anthropology paper by my son, and it's worth a read-through. I find it hilarious, but that's just my weird sense of humor. See what you think. This habit is usually formed early in the student’s life, beginning as early as childhood. Through repeated patterns of putting off work until the last possible moment, study habits suffer along with many other areas ...To star...

Many Saudi women will not take a taxi. Taxi drivers sometimes cross boundaries. They can be chatty and eager to practice their English, but they can also be inappropriate. Sometimes scarily inappropriate. They assume Western women are loose women. Just the other day, four of us left a restaurant and flagged down a taxi....

Quirky Curl
Tangled up in fashion. Monday, November 26, 2012. I was happy to see that Sasha Obama and I own the same polka dot sweater. It's a cozy, chunky knit $29.99 sweater from Target. She paired hers with cool pink pants. Thanks for the style tip, Sasha! Shopping on Small Business Saturday. Or, how she broke hemline rules by pairing this ring leader-inspired blazer with a. Long, flowing tunic. Or, added a tongue-in-cheek nod to her fam with this Obama tote. Nerve wrecking nights of his life. Cool as a cucumber!
