Today: Part of Indiana, across Illinois, a bit of Iowa, across the Mississippi twice, some of Wisconsin. Black dirt. Beautiful farms as far as the eye can see. Rolling hills. Dairy cows and cheese shops. M&M Blizzards at DQ. Lots of small towns. An indoor swimming pool! Best signs seen today: At a butcher shop: "Gross' Burgers". Want to eat there?

I used to subscribe to Homeschooling Today. And had pulled out all the art lessons by Barry Stebbing. I chose 3 artists: Italian artist, Correggio. And American artists, Winslow Homer. Since I want to finish our math books before the end of the year, we're starting each day with one page of math instead of our usual 2 pages. Last Wednesday was twenty years since I gave birth to my only son. I was only 24, and already had two daughters. His temperature was low, so the nurses put him in a humidicrib to warm him up.
