In The Village, Astcote, Northamptonshire: Looking for the Moon
http://astcote.blogspot.com/2014/09/looking-for-moon.html
In The Village, Astcote, Northamptonshire. Astcote's in Northamptonshire, England. It's where I wake up most mornings, again. Tuesday, September 9. Looking for the Moon. I thought I would try and get some nice photos of the 'super moon' this evening. It was just around for a couple of nights and the sky looked nice and clear. I started by heading off to a nice place a mile or so away from where I had a good panoramic view. A nice old barn or sheep shed. I love those places. Posted by Andrew Hill. Corgi T...

In The Village, Astcote, Northamptonshire. Astcote's in Northamptonshire, England. It's where I wake up most mornings, again. Friday, May 9. Birds large and small from my window. A goldfinch in the garden on Saturday. A heron wandering around the paddock - this was taken from my window a good 100yds away. I dashed downstairs and did my best to sneak up quietly but he flew off before I could focus. Posted by Andrew Hill. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where in the Village? Birds large and small from my window.

In The Village, Astcote, Northamptonshire: November 2013

In The Village, Astcote, Northamptonshire. Astcote's in Northamptonshire, England. It's where I wake up most mornings, again. Wednesday, November 6. A tripod, marmalade and good lunch. I always enjoy trips to St Albans and today's was no exception. AT took me to The Wicked Lady, one of the best restaurants I've frequented for simple fare, where we managed to make three courses last over three hours! That didn't explain the strange start in the morning but it did explain the home run directions. Where in ...

American Idol: Top 9 Perform
http://ai2014.blogspot.com/2015/03/top-9-perform.html
Independent but informed news and reviews of the show and performers from Andrew Hill across The Pond. Season XV Top 24. Monday, 30 March 2015. Daniel's track is really not good. His singing is cracking up. He does look good on camera, as Keith points out and he gets on well with the audience. Clearly he is getting plenty of votes but he has to do better or we'll have a dud winning this thing. Is OK but a bit light and lacking in the passion the song usually has. Disappointing again. Rayvon isn't making ...

American Idol: April 2015
http://ai2014.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Independent but informed news and reviews of the show and performers from Andrew Hill across The Pond. Season XV Top 24. Saturday, 25 April 2015. American Idol: Season XIV - The Top 6 Perform, and we now have the Top 5. So Jax makes the Top 5 and, from this performance, deservedly so. If she decides to do a Wendy James number then I may even buy it myself! She is looking so much sexier than the others and, for that matter, more than most entrants I can recall in this show. Good choice, Rayvon! Sam smith ...

The Studyzone: notes and information for students and tutors by Andrew Hill
http://ahi2000.com/studyzone
While I'm updating the site you can access the old one here. This site is for students, tutors and anyone looking for information about using ICT. Whereas once all the notes were about Microsoft Office programmes, now there are excellent web2.0 alternatives for creating, storing, publishing and sharing materials which I'll be using more. The webtools. Site has a good selection and examples of some in use. I have finally got round to adding some notes on w3c standards. And up-to-date system security.

Yes, for some reason best known to the organisers, Australia gets to have an entry in the Eurov. They've got another performer with long hair and a beard but this one is a bloke. A pretty solid, passionate pe...

Updates and reviews for X Factor UK, X Factor USA, American Idol, Eurovision and other programmes that appeal to me. Published just for fun and maybe a little outrageous fortune and the entertainment and amusement of readers. Tuesday, November 11, 2014. A few good films from the last few years. Much better than I had expected from the start. Ending a bit soggy but otherwise impressive. Smart but simple film. Tells the story. Cool acting by people I've never heard of or probably will see again. So far it ...
