Friday, August 6, 2010. Not Going to Make It. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. Samuel Beckett. We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope. Martin Luther King. Life, however hard, is preferable to the alternative. Aesop. Bad that I dig myself into a deep hole and can't see the light again. Here are the facts. First of June I was 7 pounds from reaching my goal of losing 39 pounds. July came and I gained 6 pounds. Here are the feelings.

Saturday, February 12, 2011. Almost a year ago (to the day) I ran for 2 miles without stopping.this week. 5 miles! It hurts for the first mile. I like the different smells in the air. I get faster, then slow down.I am scared of losing too much steam to finish. I feel like a faillure if I have to walk at all. I notice the temperature changes around bridges. Vehicles pass too close to me sometimes. I like running with traffic (makes me feel fast). I enjoy running in the afternoon. View my complete profile.

Saturday, November 27, 2010. A few weeks ago. My sister tells me that she got us t-shirts, mapped on route on map-my-run.com and let's round up some people to run! 9:00 Eleven of us met at our mom's house, tried to stay warm and headed off down the road in our matching t-shirts. What a blast! So fun to be running in the cool, crisp air with friends.well at least for the first 2 minutes. They all were a block ahead of me after that and I just watched the backs of them! Sunday, July 3, 2011. Two Steps Forward.Three Steps Back. Excuses 1, 2 and 3.Injured toe in January, cyst removed off my wrist in February and bruised left leg from Vegas in April. Or is that reality? How did I deal with that reality? Well, I had some downtime. I reflected a lot about what I should be doing.
