Holly in Cameroon: Women's Day in Cameroon
http://schilinskifamily.blogspot.com/2015/03/womens-day-in-cameroon.html
Helping orphans, reaching the lost and needy. Sunday, March 8, 2015. Women's Day in Cameroon. At our house with the HHCH ladies before we headed downtown. Posing in front of the Bandstand before it got too busy. A policewoman also in her Women's Day outfit. Getting ready to start. Starting to line up. As we headed towards the marching point it was a struggle to all stay together but we managed. When it was all finished we went to the Helping Hands Meat Market to share a meal together (and take photos).

Holly in Cameroon: April 2015
http://schilinskifamily.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Helping orphans, reaching the lost and needy. Wednesday, April 1, 2015. It is a lot of stress on these young couples who usually start their married life penniless or in debt. But once they pay the money, the family blesses them. They all drink some palm wine and they officially give the women to the man. Being taken away by their husband's family. Even their children can be taken away! Here's how the court wedding went down:. After that they exchanged vows and rings, were pronounced man and wife, and ki...

Holly in Cameroon: September 2013
http://schilinskifamily.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Helping orphans, reaching the lost and needy. Monday, September 30, 2013. Can you tell I'm excited? It will be nice to experience a little bit of "development" (and by this I mean meandering around Duty Free trying out free perfume samples and thumbing through magazine at the kiosks) even if just for a few hours. Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Over the last few months it has become obvious that someone is using Helping Hands Children's Home's name as a way to scam people out of their hard earned money...

Helping orphans, reaching the lost and needy. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. We're right in the middle of Sonlight Christian Academy, the missionary homeshooling co-op we're a part of. For two weeks, us parents share the responsibility of teaching everyones kids (and of course try to make it all a lot more fun than regular homeschooling). This is the session we do swimming lessons (my favourite! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm married to the best husband in the world, Jake! I Love Jesus with all my heart!

Holly in Cameroon: May 2014
http://schilinskifamily.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Helping orphans, reaching the lost and needy. Sunday, May 25, 2014. Jake and I are by no means the most educated, qualified, or experienced people to do the work the Lord has called us to do. During the hard times we remember Colossians 3:2 where we are instructed to keep our eyes on things above. We are grateful that God has chosen to use us, to play a small part in the expansion of His kingdom. Here are some pictures from our first year here:. Josh and Seth quickly made friends wherever they went.

http://schilinskifamily.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Helping orphans, reaching the lost and needy. Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Well, we made it back to Africa and we are just about back to Cameroon time. Jet lag had us all in a headlock for a few days there. It was a LONG 3 days of travel to get here, never easy with kids, 12 pieces of luggages, and 12 carry-ons, but we all made it in one piece, praise the Lord! On the way back to Bamenda, the Landrover started having brake issues so we had to slow right down (welcome back to Africa! Sooo good to be back!

Holly in Cameroon: Praise Report; Believe Big!
http://schilinskifamily.blogspot.com/2015/05/praise-report-believe-big.html
Helping orphans, reaching the lost and needy. Thursday, May 14, 2015. Praise Report; Believe Big! It is easy to fill up an orphanage in Cameroon, Helping Hands Children's Home could have 200 kids by the end of this month if it really wanted. So many children have lost a parent, or are living with grandparents struggling to provide for them. It is not uncommon for parents to send their children away,. Young or old,. Ree housing, nutritious meals, and quality education. Can be very appealing. A couple of w...
