Dribblings of a disciple: Sex Café
http://khshattuck.blogspot.com/2010/04/sex-cafe.html
Dribblings of a disciple. I'm just an ordinary guy walking with an extraordinary God! I haven’t blogged in a long time, but as I came across this blog entry, I just had to put it up on mine. I’ve lived in Europe. It’s still hard to imagine that people can be so base as to sell other humans. Copied from an entry on FlowerDust. Thursday morning, our first meeting was with a young woman about my age who, for safety reasons, I’ll identify as L. Went first. Then Brad. Then me. Then Simon. X201c;The reason I b...

Dribblings of a disciple. I'm just an ordinary guy walking with an extraordinary God! Feet in the sand. As I mulled over my life today, I recalled a night which I spent on the beach in Hawaii as a college student. I was with some friends and we stayed up all night long talking, laughing and enjoying the cool moist sand under our feet and between our toes. Still sitting in the sand, we stayed until we watched as the sun rose over the cloudless blue horizon. I don’t know. Links to this post.

Dribblings of a disciple. I'm just an ordinary guy walking with an extraordinary God! Giving - to church or missionaries or? Just a quick thought for today. As I’m reading through the BIble in a year and am in Numbers and God is instructing the Levites to give a tithe of the Israelites’ tithes, He makes it clear that they are to give the best of what they receive. I’m challenged to consider the quality of my giving and the motive behind my giving. Or do they receive from our leftovers? As well, I can tel...

Dribblings of a disciple. I'm just an ordinary guy walking with an extraordinary God! Church or Country Club? As I play more tennis these days and my wife, Linda, and Nathan, my youngest son, express an interest in playing, I have found myself considering the possibility of joining a tennis club or country club for the very purpose of having a pool of players from which to draw - as well as professionals to help us all improve and advance in our skill-level abilities. Does our church welcome the new pers...

Dribblings of a disciple. I'm just an ordinary guy walking with an extraordinary God! Plantar Fasciitis - argh! Got hit by plantar fasciitis. This past week. I felt it coming a couple of weeks ago, but thought it was something that I could “push” through and would be fine after some stretching and such. I’m glad that I have a couple of weeks off from tennis - not because I don’t want to play - au contraire! I’d rather be playing! Take care of your feet! Links to this post. We spent about half of the time...

Dribblings of a disciple. I'm just an ordinary guy walking with an extraordinary God! Do I really know how to deny myself? 8226; Here's a selection from a book (The Distinguishing Traits of Christian Character) written by Gardiner Spring (1785-1873) on the topic of self-denial. There is much more be says on this, but this is the portion that challenges me most. After reading this, can I even begin to say that I know what it means to deny myself? Which do you pursue most, your interest or your duty? Somew...
