Bonjour Paris: Friendly Finns and Silent Snow
http://happyyowojean.blogspot.com/2008/01/friendly-finns-and-silent-snow.html
What once was a freshman's ramblings has now become an ex-pat's sophisticated musings. enjoy. Monday, January 07, 2008. Friendly Finns and Silent Snow. I just arrived at the airport, it’s almost 9, flight is at 2- so I’m only really like 3 hours early. I tried to hang around. For awhile to kill time- first trying to use the internet stations only to be scarred away by various drunks who were at the time trying to sober up by drinking juice which they just managed to spill everywhere. I sat down and rumma...

It's below freezing in Paris finally- I know that's not like earth shattering for the rest of the world, but i thought i'd share. I don't really have appropriate clothing for below freezing- really looking forward to your arrival mom and dad! Don't forget the coat please! 21st friday- Uncle Russ and family arrive in Paris. Saturday- drive down to Lorgues (south of France). But of cour...

Bonjour Paris: October 2007
http://happyyowojean.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
What once was a freshman's ramblings has now become an ex-pat's sophisticated musings. enjoy. Monday, October 29, 2007. Pancakes, Velib, Louvre and the Red Sox. On my way out I wandered through Roman statues- mostly of emporers- and i couldn't help but giggle at the fact that all of the faces I recognized were due to the fact that we watched I, Cladius as a main activity in our Latin 4 class. I honestly can't remember the family tree- but the names were all familiar. Thursday, October 25, 2007. As though...

Ma Vie En Rose: To study or not to study? That is the question.
http://susansvieenrose.blogspot.com/2007/11/to-study-or-not-to-study-that-is.html
Ma Vie En Rose. Thursday, November 29, 2007. To study or not to study? That is the question. I have approximately 10 minutes to decide whether or not I want to go play water polo tonight. Considering the low level of play and the fact that it is rainy and gross and cold outside, I am probably not going to go. Such is the life of a lazy bum. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). To study or not to study? That is the question. And so it continues. French women dont sweat. Hell no, we wont go!

Ma Vie En Rose: December 2007
http://susansvieenrose.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Ma Vie En Rose. Thursday, December 13, 2007. Yesterday I was, er, chided. By a girl as I was getting off the tram, because she apparently believed I was being rude and pushy while I tried to make my way out the door. I decided on some possible causes for her unusual criticism of my tram-riding skills:. 1) She has never been to France before, and therefore does not know what French people normally behave like (not possible - she was definitely French). 2) She has never been to a city before (not probable).

Ma Vie En Rose: The Unfortunate Ones
http://susansvieenrose.blogspot.com/2012/01/unfortunate-ones.html
Ma Vie En Rose. Thursday, January 19, 2012. The population in a medical school class is rather interesting to observe. You have those really annoying people who are happy and smiling and energetic all the time (like the one girl who proudly told me she never drinks caffeine. what is she, a robot? The ones who work like crazy ("gunners"), and the seemingly normal people (but trust me, we've all got weird quirks). However, the really scary truth about med students is this:. Bonjour Paris: Nude Iron forgers
http://happyyowojean.blogspot.com/2008/01/nude-iron-forgers.html
What once was a freshman's ramblings has now become an ex-pat's sophisticated musings. enjoy. Sunday, January 06, 2008. I would like to warn anyone who travels to Helsinki and see's the majestic statue of three nordic buff men Iron forging in the nude that this should not be taken up as an activity. It might be ok for the Finns to sauna in the nude, but this for many reasons is quite less hazardous than weilding large anvils and striking hot forges whilst declothed. Well there go my vacation plans.

Bonjour Paris: Garfield
http://happyyowojean.blogspot.com/2007/12/garfield.html
What once was a freshman's ramblings has now become an ex-pat's sophisticated musings. enjoy. Friday, December 14, 2007. John is telling garfield about his light up tie, and the entire punchline is Garfield thinking "you make an easy target" which i guess in english also could have been something like "you make it too easy". trust me, it was funny in french. You should read Calvin and Hobbes in French. It's great. I now own six of them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Parce quon vient de loin.
