AC Optomechanix was founded by Lennino Cacace in March 2006, anticipating his graduation as a master of science in mechanical engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology in June 2006. AC Optomechanix is growing and currently expanding. Various patent applications have been filed and products are currently being developed in cooperation with partners. AC Optomechanix is currently developing several optomechanical solutions for mounting lens elements in high-end microscope objectives. The solutions have in common that they provide sub-micrometer accuracy during mounting by using flexures, and that high stability is achieved through prevention of play and slip, also during thermal cycling or shock. 2006–2016 AC Optomechanix.
