Location of Stouphill Gate. Exit the M6 at junction 38 (Tebay). Follow the A685 east towards Kirkby Stephen. After about 10 miles turn right onto the A683 signposted Sedbergh and the Fat Lamb Nature Reserve. After about 3 miles on the A683 turn right immediately before the Fat Lamb Inn (signposted to Ravenstonedale). Externally the holiday accommodation is entered via a narrow driveway which opens out into a large car parking area with ample space for all. This was the original farmstead on the site and probably dates back to the 1750's. Then it would have consisted of a working farm kitchen downstairs and a bed room upstairs. The cottage has been tastefully brought up to date and now has all modern fittings in the kitchen and bath room. The original character features of the cottage though have been preserved.
