Coconut Berry Cake | A Curious Person
https://acuriousity.wordpress.com/2014/01/09/coconut-berry-cake/comment-page-1
A mean-spirited craft blog. January 9, 2014. Tagged Coconut Berry Cake. Comments 1 Comment on Coconut Berry Cake. Way back in 2013, I found this recipe for a Coconut Berry Cake at MamaGwenM. It looked pretty amazing, so I thought I’d make one myself. I can happily report that appearances were not at all deceiving and this cake tasted as good as it looked. Also if you call it a Cake aux Fruit Rouges et Lait de Coco like Mama Gwen does, it sounds super fancy. Oh la la! This entry was posted in afternoon tea.

Knitting for babies | A Curious Person
https://acuriousity.wordpress.com/2013/09/16/knitting-for-babies/comment-page-1
A mean-spirited craft blog. September 16, 2013. Comments 2 Comments on Knitting for babies. I do love baby knits, so I was delighted when I found out my sister was pregnant. Clearly that prompted spending a lot of time browsing patterns on Ravelry. And adding to my already ridiculously long queue. The Sunnyside baby cardigan. Is a great (and free! Baby pattern I’ve been using. I’ve knit it twice so far and I’m prepared to do it again, it really is that good. And another for a baby gift. I love the mods y...
Warm woollen mittens | A Curious Person
https://acuriousity.wordpress.com/2014/03/01/warm-woollen-mittens
A mean-spirited craft blog. March 1, 2014. Comments No Comments on Warm woollen mittens. Although I live in Queensland and there is not much call for warm woollen mittens, it still, sometimes, will be cold enough in winter to warrant some form of woollen hand coverings for comfort. So I have been knitting ‘mittens for gifts’ for a couple of friends whose birthdays are coming up shortly. Are a free pattern. Which made things a lot easier. Next on the mitten list was a pair of toasty. You are commenting us...
February Baby (in March) | A Curious Person
https://acuriousity.wordpress.com/2014/03/27/february-baby-in-march
A mean-spirited craft blog. March 27, 2014. Comments No Comments on February Baby (in March). February Baby (in March). The February Baby Sweater. Is probably one of the most knit baby patterns on Ravelry (after of course, EZ’s Baby Surprise Jacket. I know lots of people love EZ and her pithy instructions and it’s hard not to enjoy her writing, which is part personal journal, part informative, and part pattern – and the pattern seems sometimes as almost an afterthought. However, after reading a bunch.

Mama G and Co. Handmade Christmas #5 and 6: Little Wolf and Mouse Mittens. Asymp; 3 Comments. I made these cute little mittens for the sons of one of my best friends. By Birch Hollow Cottage. They were made from some 8ply Luxury. From Bendigo Woollen Mills (left over from a cardigan I made last year that I still. Click ...

Wednesday, 15 January 2014. FO: Classic Red Sweater and How to Add a Faux Seam. Cascade Eco in 'Scarlet'. 5mm and 6 mm circulars (US 8 and 10). Adjusted guage, added longer ribbing on the sleeves, and added faux seams on the body. My Ravlelry Project page can be found here. As part of my 5 Small Goals for Winte. Handmade Christmas #3: Fluffy Bunny | Mama G & Co.
https://mamagwenm.wordpress.com/2014/01/10/handmade-christmas-3-fluffy-bunny
Mama G and Co. Handmade Christmas #3: Fluffy Bunny. Asymp; 9 Comments. Knitting in the round. The pattern for this bunny is called Briar Bunny. By Amanda Keeys (an Australian designer). The pieces are knit in the round then sewed together. I do like softie patterns that require knitting in the round, they’re a bit quicker. This still requires a fair bit of time to complete though, softies are rarely a quick project. The yarn I used is called Teddy. Ravelry details and photos are over here. January 10, 20...

Monday, January 10, 2011. New times, new thoughts. It's time to start blogging again but not as a hobby but more like a journal. I just need to pour my thoughts out somewhere without having the guilt of burdening someone with my problems cause everyone has their own. Taking first step into account right now - distraction. The perfect timing to start with my lab report! Monday, September 6, 2010. You must be thinking, "that's not that difficult! So I'll say, YES IT IS! I Hate that print. Eww. Which are pr...

The Adventures of a Curious Kat
Sunday, March 15, 2015. I have officially joined the Snippet Roll craze they are so much fun to make! This one is about 90% finished, I just want to add some hand stitching around the girls, and embellish a bit more. That's the fun of these, it's very spontaneous; I just glued and stitched stuff down as I went. Most of the girls I just found on the web and printed on fabric sheets, easy peasy. Some of it was from etsy or Flights of Fancy boutique (on the web). Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Thanks goes to ...
Life as a Curious Katie | "I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious." – Albert Einstein
Life as a Curious Katie. I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious. – Albert Einstein. Baby Holl #2: 20 Week Update. So I missed a week. Not because I didn’t want to update, but this past week has been pretty rough (I’ll explain later) and I was just not in the mood for photos. So we’re skipping ahead to 20 weeks! 20 weeks, 2 days. Breakfast food, fruit, sweets. I’m going to try to be good this week in regards to food choices as I’ve kind of let myself go. How can we compete with that?

I cry for you, or my memory of you! After nearly five years of marriage I didn’t think I needed any further confirmation that my husband and I are polar opposites. This trip, however, has proven that we are officially from different planets! The missing puzzle piece. I was 22 when I found myself in Cambodia feeling overwhelmed and more...
