I decided to make sugar cookies shaped like onesies and decorate with royal icing. I then bagged each one and tied with pink ribbon. They were a huge hit. Max and Ruby Cake. 1 c butter, softened. 2 c cake flour. 1 c Dutch process cocoa powder. 1/2 tsp. baking powder. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1 1/4 c. buttermilk. 2 tsp vanilla extract. Beat butter and shortening at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating until blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until blended. 1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar. 3/4 cup dark corn syrup. 1 1/2 cups half-and-half.

Here is an easy recipe that is sure to become a family favorite. 2 packages rapid rise yeast. 1/4 c warm water. 1 1/2 c. buttermilk. 1/2 c vegetable oil. 6 c all purpose flour. 1/2 tsp. baking soda. 1/2 c butter, melted. 1 1/4 c. dark brown sugar. 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon. 1 Tbsp. Karo syrup. 1 Tbsp. butter.
