Adventure Amigos: June 2014
http://adventureamigos.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 7, 2014. We knew we were close by the large groups of bikes converging on the entrance to the park around Oil City. Fortunately, the leader is a pro and as soon as Tom makes his first passing move, the leader signals to his group to go single file, slow down and let us pass. We wave our appreciation and show our respect to the riders, and the road is ours again. The terrain map shows how nicely the road follows the valley - perfect riding conditions with beautiful scenery. Soon we get back...
Adventure Amigos: First Camp - Houston
http://adventureamigos.blogspot.com/2016/09/first-camp-houston.html
Wednesday, September 7, 2016. First Camp - Houston. We were getting a bit tired and Cipi wanted to ensure that we would camp tonight. He wanted to drink several Four Lokos. A wild and crazy beverage that has a wacky impact on him) and check out sleeping in a hammock tent. By dusk, we found a great little family run RV and tent camp near Houston. Shady Rest RV camp - the best site on the trip. Our Camp site is marked in the top center - nestled in the trees (to hang a hammock). Of course he forgets to loc...

Sunday, June 19, 2016. Getting ready for Inuvik Trip. Getting Ready for a BIG Adventure. Every once in a while, we get a chance to fulfill a dream and do something that really enriches our lives. While this sudden transition provides a good excuse to become negative, I am looking at it as a massive opportunity to do the adventure of a lifetime. No, this is not a multi-year round the world trip - I still want to work until the mind goes soft and no longer adds value. To Inuvik, NWT. The picture of the mud...
Adventure Amigos: May 2013
http://adventureamigos.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 31, 2013. Snow covered mountains to sandy desert. At the next bend the clouds part a bit and we notice that the mountain is white - that rain that soaked the bikes at town level, created snow at the top levels, and we were heading into a winter wonderland - a new dimension to our adventure. The temp gauge on my console is flashing to warn of freezing conditions. The beemer is built for this, but a Versys with street tires? Thursday, May 30, 2013. Tuesday Experience - Million Dollar highway.
Adventure Amigos: June 2012
http://adventureamigos.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 30, 2012. Took the long route to Charlottetown, along the coast via Shediac and the coast road 133. The lobster and oyster business is visible everywhere - yum. Traffic was light but I suspect that the evening rush over the Confederation bridge to Charlottetown was going to be much busier due to the extensive Canada Day plans in the city. The sky was clear, sun hot - best weather of the trip. Friday, June 29, 2012. We decided to make a dash for Moncton. For Mike, it was a chance to see...

Adventure Amigos
Wednesday, September 7, 2016. White Horse to Dawson City. It was laundry time and most of our gear needed drying so we stayed in a motel - The Yukon Inn. Hope nobody steals stuff from the bikes. Lizzy watching over stuff drying in the room. On the road with a pizzling rain that started to go away as we got further north. It did however get colder so we kept the fleece and rain jackets just to keep warm. We stop at a historic site of the Montaque log road house. The bugs are bugging Cipi. We’re in t...
