http://showmenatureflorissant.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
The life of all things natural found in Florissant, St. Louis, and beyond. Thursday, October 17, 2013. The life of all things natural found in Florissant, St. Louis, and beyond. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. A nest with eggs is called a clutch. This usually refers to Raptors (Birds of Prey).

The life of all things natural found in Florissant, St. Louis, and beyond. Thursday, September 26, 2013. With the arrival of Autumn Equinox last weekend, the hours of daylight will continue to shorten and the nights grow long until the Winter Solstice. The life of all things natural found in Florissant, St. Louis, and beyond. Thursday, August 29, 2013. September is already upon us and summer is winding down to a close. The days are gradually getting shorter and the birds that spend their summers in St. Louis are beginning to migrate to their winter homes. Generally speaking in terms of migration, male birds are usually the first to leave, with females and young birds following suit. Fussed at me as I walked. A dragonfly can spend up to 5 years of its l...

This blog is a hodgepodge of introspective musings, nature, book reviews, life at work, and whatever else finds my fancy. Thursday, May 10, 2012. Deanna at Adventure Farm. Brought several flats of heirloom tomatoes to work on Tuesday. She told me she was trying to give them away, otherwise they were going into the compost bin. I decided right there on the spot to try my hand at growing tomatoes. Don't you just love my spontaneity? I finally got around to bringing the tomatoes home today. I was so worried...
