Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Universal Pictures brings us an animated wonder with humor and warmth. Gru, a character that sets out to be the super villain he is not, voiced by Steve Carell is dastardly coming off adorable. Dru's villainous behavior comes to take a turn when he adopts three young girls Margo, Edith and Agnes. His conniving attempt to use the girls to enter the home of Vectors' once again. The movie's humor really comes from his hundreds of Minions. Despite having no true understanding wh...

movie review: Inception

Thursday, August 5, 2010. The wonderment comes from each characters role in creating the most realistic settings and backgrounds so the subject doesn't know he is dreaming and force himself to wake up. Ellen Page (Juno and as Kitty Pryde in the X-Men) was brilliant in understanding LD's true demons while in each dream scenario. She is the creator of the virtual world. It was worth the dream! Wednesday, January 20, 2010. I was and still am not a fan of James Camerons' Titanic which out of shock is the highest grossing film to date. Camerons' newly inventive 2009 spectacular has grossed more than a billion dollars worldwide in less than a month of release. In the coming month, Avatar should no doubt surpass Titanic as the highest grossing film. The movie was pleasing in 2D, 3D in selected theatres and of course Imax 3D. Either version will stun you and leave you wanting more.

Thursday, June 4, 2015. The movie centers on characters, Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson who brings a new flare to the hero spotlight; Carla Gugino plays his ex wife. You might recognize Carla playing alongside Johnson on two other movies, ". Race to Witch Mountain". Playing the daughter, Blake is Alexandra Daddario whom you might remember playing a goddess in the Percy Jackson films. Overall the effects that we see on screen is not unlike those we have seen already. Amazing on big screen, and leaves you w...

movie review: True Grit 2010
http://moviereview-agetro65.blogspot.com/2010/12/true-grit-2010.html
Wednesday, December 22, 2010. This has been a disappointing venture since the beginning of cinema. Why Hollywood attempts to captivate us by reworking classic movies we have all loved, still amazes me. If anyone can recall a movie that was either revamped, retitled or rewritten with the same flavor and the same pleasing memorable moment when we first viewed it, I would love to know. We have gone through years of knowing that Hollywood lost the great writers or imagination they once had 20, 30 years ago.
