Longing for Roots.Belonging to Reality. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. OK, I really want to share this with you all, I am so proud of myself today, I finished 634 interviews with women clients. YESSSS! 634 Can you believe it? These six weeks have been crazy, non-stop hectic work, from morning till night! Time to take a break before doing the rest of them. And I was also very excited to get such a strong project and the independence that I have in terms of designing and conducting it. Monday, June 21, 2010.

Longing for Roots.Belonging to Reality. Monday, July 30, 2012. King of All Fruits! One of big reasons I want to travel to Pakistan in summer is MANGOES! Did you know that mangoes have been eaten since 5000 years ago. They had been a symbol of love in ancient times and not to mention that Bhudda is mentioned to sit and meditate under a mango tree. The famous paisley design that we eastern women have on every second piece of clothing we own is actually based on the shape of a mango. Sunday, July 15, 2012.

Longing for Roots.Belonging to Reality. Saturday, September 8, 2012. Udhoorey Khawb (unfinished dreams). Outside the hotel was another story. Several places around the town were reminiscent of development that was once planned or even started but never carried through completely. Below is a picture of the beach where a sign stands saying "Site for the Seaside Public Park" Its been years. November 19, 2016 at 5:06 AM. I heard the security norms are better than past? KC in the Western Cape. Laquo; FIFA Fair Play. Posted August 1, 2010 by Kimberly Caldwell in Uncategorized. After the meeting at dinner, I slowly began to relax from all the tension of putting on a final meeting and smile. Then I giggled. Then I giggled some more. And then I giggled in the car. And then I struggled to stay awake, I was so exhausted. Olive trees and the view from the farm. Us on top of a bus. Us at a fancy winery with the same initials as me - KC. This morning, we went for a walk around t...

KC in the Western Cape. Laquo; 67 Minutes. I Turn my Camera On. Posted July 21, 2010 by Kimberly Caldwell in Uncategorized. During my time in Cape Town, I had the opportunity to interview a number of young people about their experience attending Photo Speak. One of the major programs delivered by the Community Development Foundation Western Cape (CDF), Photo Speak was adapted from a program in Arizona to fit the needs of youth in South Africa. It’s brilliant. This was really powerful. The girl lives ...

KC in the Western Cape. Laquo; Coming to Terms. Success and S’mores. Posted July 16, 2010 by Kimberly Caldwell in Uncategorized. Several weeks ago, I blogged about my plan to serve s’mores at my 4. Of July party. This did not happen. Next is the issue of chocolate. People take chocolate seriously here there are more bars of Cadbury and Nestle treats than I could describe so they are all thick. There aren’t a lot of dinky, melty, Hershey’s-esque bars around. Looking back, I should have thought about this ...

Last Day: Initial Impressions. It’s my last day in Kisiizi. “To do” list in full force. Oh yeah, and work. Saying goodbyes, taking care of business, packing, pictures, and a summer’s worth of memories all coming to a cacophonous convergence. Oh yeah, and work. Why does life have to be so hard? I am so excited to go to Egypt and see me Julie and come home to friends and family and finishing school and FOOTBALL! I will also, to my great surprise, miss this place.
