Besides having a lot of enjoyment at a very nice 15th-story sky room with far more space and glamour than before – not to knock our house – over 80 people got to hear about Chowan Discovery’s progress. The Winton Triangle stage production was our first major effort to present the Triangle’s history to the public at large. The Gallery Theater was almost full each night. Grandparents brought their children and grandchildren! People came from as far away as Atlanta and New York. The success of the stage production led to other opportunities for the Chowan Discovery Group, and many have requested that we revive the production in the future. Archives for December 2014. Preservation – saving Dr. Brown’s grave. December 7, 2014. In the sun again, visitors can view Dr. and Mrs. Calvin Scott Brown without bending under the branches of the cedar – its stump is lower right. (MTJ photo). Quickly had the tree cut down.
