You Can Call Me Al. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Last Thursday was a random German holiday, so we took a 4 day road trip through the Bavarian Alps. Drove down to Munich on Wednesday night and Sara landed in Munich from the US on Thursday morning. Our first stop was in Dachau - the first German concentration camp in a Munich suburb. You Can Call Me Al. Monday, September 22, 2014. I got to cross an item off my bucket list this weekend when I attended the opening day of Oktoberfest in Munich. After driving down Friday night, we had a hearty German meal, followed by some pretzels and schnapps shots in the hotel room.
