Picture Me (MoCP) at Curie. March 3, 2014. The photographers we covered in class embrace the staged photograph, and use their image-making process to tell stories. Duane Michals usually uses a sequence of images to create a narrative similar to a short movie. Whereas, Jeff Wall builds a narrative into a single image, and often he disguises this fact, so that the viewer may believe that Wall actually happened upon the particular scene.
