Track day preparation :. I have attended two track day events so far - not very impressive considering how much fun it was. The first event was in August 2009, and I completed all four sessions. It was pouring all days and the track was WET! Anyway this gave me a very good idea of the grip, balance and handling of the car in these conditions. Further, with these amount of water the load on engine and brakes are less hard. Me if you have further suggestions! Jack and two stands. Extra fuel, high octane.

Repairs and modifications made on my Alfetta QO so far (November 2010). The original engine hasn't been touched, other than some needed replacements of bad wires and hoses, bit's and pieces, a set of new spark plugs, some fresh oil, oil filter etc. It runs pretty good and is very stable. I burns next to no oil, and will go anywhere between 10 - 12 km pr. liter fuel. The transmission has been replaced with a renovated Alfa 75 2.0 TS transmission which changes gears and runs smoothly. I have done so far.

If you are in doubt you need to consult a pro-written manual (like Haynes) or your local Alfa Romeo work shop. ALWAYS remember when working underneath your car to jack it up SAFELY, I always use one or two wheels to place under the car so if the jack stands fails, I won't have to struggle too much to breathe. Alfetta 159i Project Blog. Follow the transformation of my 1984 Alfa Romeo Alfetta 159i (also called Alfetta Gold Clover in some markets) from a road car to a track car! Saturday, March 6, 2010. With the car in the garage, I set out to remove the hideous bumpers on the car. Also, the rear-lights have these silly plastic surrounds which is just unbearable. First two pics are cellphone pics). Here is the car with both surrounds off. I want to wash the car, inside and out next. And get the engine clean!
