http://thesullivanstimetolaugh.blogspot.com/2014/07/three-highlights.html
A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Tuesday, July 8, 2014. There were 3 highlights to July 5th. Alcatraz, lunch, and after dinner dessert. Alcatraz is just cool. If you ever get a chance, go. They give you an audio tour that is narrated by ex-guards and ex-prisoners that experienced the prison themseves. Its really well done. You can see we were well prepared for the cold wind today. This is a view of San Francisco from Alcatraz. We ordered two different type...

A Time To Laugh: Coastal Driving

A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Because of slow internet in SF and the redwoods, I'm two days behind in blogging. This is good and bad, as it's annoying that I'm not necessarily blogging about the things that are most vivid in my memory, but its also nice to remember. Driving across the city was also uneventful and actually very easy. It was early and no one was out. The bridge was cold and foggy of course. A few of my favorites.

A Time To Laugh: Portland

A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Thursday, July 10, 2014. Yesterday we said goodbye to the wild, cold Pacific. I had loved it and miss it already. Cape Meare's Lighthouse, our final viewpoint of the coast. At one point we were in a double lane on ramp and we came to a flashing red light and each lane would flash alternately. I didn't get it, but Allen said "its getting us back to a single lane! The Japanese garden was beautiful, quiet and green. Antelope C...

A Time To Laugh: June 2013
http://thesullivanstimetolaugh.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Thursday, June 6, 2013. As readers of this blog have probably noticed, I haven't posted our adventures for the past couple of nights. Allen had a cousin who passed away and we are on the way back to be with family and attend the funeral on Saturday. Prayers are appreciated for the family. On our way home, we stopped in Oklahoma City (No tornados in the forecast! This was our reward at the top of the 3 1/2 miles. A beaut...

A Time To Laugh: October 2013

A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Thursday, October 17, 2013. In between goals is a thing called life that has to be lived and enjoyed.". This is why the quote seemed so profound. Yes goals are good, yes its great to complete them. But, if all my time and energy goes toward those goals, what happens in between? Am I unhappy until another goal is reached? I'm learning it's really important to enjoy this in between time, because, guess what? The worst problem...

A Time To Laugh: Cape Perpetua

A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Thursday, July 10, 2014. Yesterday we drove up the Oregon coast from Bandon to Garibaldi. We loved it. The Oregon coast is very different than that of the Northern California. The cities are much more clean and the road is easier to drive.they're different. We loved Oregon, but don't be offended my California friends. CA did have it's draw as well. :). Roots of the Spruce. I also slurped an oyster shooter. Basically a r...

A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Monday, April 16, 2012. So, what did I do with the rainbow swiss chard? It was SO pretty! I couldn't wait to try something with it. So after a little research I decided to try an egg frittata. A couple of blogs I found promised it would be yummy and beautiful. I couldn't wait. If you eat raw rainbow swiss chard.grass. The purple, yellow, and green really was very pretty. So, that's my rainbow swiss chard story. Success!

A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Monday, May 28, 2012. We just stacked beds on top of each other. ;) Haha! Not really, Rachel was just being silly. It does make a funny picture though. On Saturday we took a trip to the zoo. I loved everything but the orangutans are always funny. This time they were hot and there was one hanging upside down like a bat in front of an air vent. We stood and laughed at them for a long time. We drove downtown and shopped severa...

A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Thursday, July 10, 2014. View of the Space Needle from the Monorail station. I really enjoy Chihuly's art. It is all large scale installation blown glass. He makes "gardens" and "ocean scenes." Allen and I have both seen his work before in Indianapolis, but this is the largest collection we've come across. Luckily, they got us in. The restaurant is pretty amazing, it looks very 1960's, but not in a run down way. The...Waiti...

A Time To Laugh: January 2014

A Time To Laugh. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the Lord. Thursday, January 23, 2014. I feel like we're finally getting back to normal after all the snow and holidays! People have been asking me to post pictures of the house, and even though I feel like its FAR from being done, I decided it was time. So forgive the messes and unfinished projects! Transition from kitchen/dining room to living room. This is a piece of art Allen made in college. Its the Lord's Prayer in Latin. Which ...
