What I'm Watching

Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Liked this movie. not as great as I was hoping, but still good. Meryl Streep was great, of course, as was Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Also was super impressed with Viola Davis'. Only one real scene, but damn was it a killer. Posted by Amanda @ 7:59 PM. Am becoming a bigger fan of Richard Jenkins every time I see him in something. What a great piece that reveals the story just a glimpse at a time. Posted by Amanda @ 7:55 PM. Monday, February 9, 2009. Jan / Feb movies. Monday, December...

Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Am becoming a bigger fan of Richard Jenkins every time I see him in something. What a great piece that reveals the story just a glimpse at a time. Acting was universally pretty great. Ending was sad but not disastrously so, and what looked like it was going to be a simple movies about a guy being deported turned into something MUCH more. What I'm Watching: August 2007

http://amandasrandommoviethoughts.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 25, 2007. Snakes on a Plane. Move is soooo snakes on a plane. We were watching it when the damn tree attacked our house, so it might have saved us from injury. Seriously, this is the best bad movie I think I've ever seen. From the terrible CGI which looked so fake I almost couldn't watch it to the flimsy premise (a literal snake bomb full of monsters hopped up on pheremones)it was terrible. But funny. A snake latched onto someone's nipple? That's cinematic brilliance right there. Turns o...

Monday, September 10, 2007. I liked this movie. In the end it worked pretty well and we both enjoyed it. My perception could also be colored by the fact that PB surprised me with date night to this movie. I probably would have loved just about anything. Posted by Amanda @ 6:12 PM. What I'm Reading: Indelible (Karin Slaughter)

http://amandasrandombookthoughts.blogspot.com/2011/04/indelible-karin-slaughter.html

Not a blog really - more like a record of what I've read and what I think about it. Probably not too interesting to anyone besides me :-). Sunday, April 17, 2011. At first, I thought I would hate this book. The idea of flashbacks to trace the development of the two main characters turned me off. But I felt like they were well done and the addition of another murder mystery within the main action was interesting. Well done. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I, Mona Lisa (Jeanne Kalogridis). I am ignorant of Italian history, but I found this novel to be entertaining, albeit in a campy way. Terça-feira, 7 de maio de 2013. O amor segundo a simplicidade. I think Avalon Park is located here because the land here was cheap; it wasn’t located near the main city, unlike Balwin Park, which is located in the middle of everything.
