A look at what The Tigers have been up to so far and must do with the rest of the off-season to compete for promotion from the Championship in 2015/16. Wolves striker Benik Afobe - Would he be worth a big splash? What might happen next? Some say Bruce will let Eldin Jakupovic go after three years of barely warming the Tigers’ bench. Boothferry To Wembley: September 2014
http://boothferrytowembley.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Hull City blog. Match reports and opinion pieces. Thursday, 11 September 2014. The Assem Allam press conference: More questions than answers. Things Assem & I agree on:. He has a simple mind. It is best the FA don’t allow teams to be called Red-bottomed FC. He should ensure the club goes to a good home. There are some backwards councilors in Hull. He is not a “dictorial”. I’m not sure anyone is. Maybe whoevers job it is to think up new words? Things I know are bullshit:. 24 hours from December 1. He will...

Boothferry To Wembley: Hull City midfielder David Meyler - Asset or Liability?
http://boothferrytowembley.blogspot.com/2015/08/hull-city-midfielder-david-meyler-asset.html
Hull City blog. Match reports and opinion pieces. Saturday, 1 August 2015. Hull City midfielder David Meyler - Asset or Liability? At any other club, a player who contributed hugely to a promotion campaign, to Premier League survival and an unprecedented FA Cup run would be cherished. That isn’t the case for David Meyler at Hull City despite those achievements. He’s had a few detractors since he joined the club and that has grown into a clear divide of opinion. The key to a possible, yet unlikely, return...

Boothferry To Wembley: Sheffield United 1 Hull City 1
http://boothferrytowembley.blogspot.com/2015/08/sheffield-united-1-hull-city-1.html
Hull City blog. Match reports and opinion pieces. Sunday, 2 August 2015. Sheffield United 1 Hull City 1. Hull City completed their pre-season schedule with a bland draw at a barely populated Bramall Lane. Reading too much into friendly results and performances is always silly because there are any number of reasons why players don’t commit 100% to warm-up games but by now you’d hope to see the players looking in fine shape and the team showing a semblance of an established style of play. The central defe...

Not All Ticket: "See you at Wembley Mr Slush!"
http://slush2easington.blogspot.com/2014/04/see-you-at-wembley-mr-slush_10.html
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was 'A Hull Of A Time'. Thursday, 10 April 2014. See you at Wembley Mr Slush! I could say I'm not going to Wembley this weekend on principle but I'd be lying. Little did I know when watching Mark Herman's 'See You At Wembley Frankie Walsh'. For the first time in the 1980's that almost thirty years on I'd be acting out a very similar story-line to this Hull City-related film. It was only when listening to the post-match local radio chat in the car on...

Not All Ticket: May 2014
http://slush2easington.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was 'A Hull Of A Time'. Saturday, 24 May 2014. One Day In May. As this is primarily a nostalgic look at City and all things Hull. My account of last week's trip to the FA Cup Final is on my other blog, 'A Game In Four Quarters'. However, having used this occasion as a focal point for previous posts, it appeared churlish to not at least make passing reference to it here. Anyway, off you pop and enjoy the read. Boothferry To Wembley: Wolves 1 Hull City 1: How the Tigers' players rated
http://boothferrytowembley.blogspot.com/2015/08/wolves-1-hull-city-1-how-tigers-players.html
Hull City blog. Match reports and opinion pieces. Sunday, 16 August 2015. Wolves 1 Hull City 1: How the Tigers' players rated. Allan McGregor – 4. Moses Odubajo – 6. Looked like a winger playing full-back for the most part. Often out of position but able to recover with his pace. City will carry him at full-back because of his attacking threat but that wasn’t evident today. Michael Dawson – 8. Curtis Davies – 8.1. Cynical, I know. Andy Robertson – 6. Ahmed Elmohamady – 5. Easily the quietest game I’...

Boothferry To Wembley: July 2014
http://boothferrytowembley.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Hull City blog. Match reports and opinion pieces. Friday, 25 July 2014. Everything you need to know about Andrew Robertson. Born: Glasgow - 11/03/1994 (Age 20). Andrew Robertson has made huge strides in his career in a short space of time. That’s despite suffering a huge knock back at the age of 15 when he was released by Celtic “for being too small”. A lot of players are released by football clubs between the ages of 15 and 17 and most disappear from the game as a result. Would anyone bet against it?
