Do you need a great editor? I'm available (tgilli52@gmail.com). Saturday, July 18, 2015. According to published reports, 99 percent of Packers fans renew their season tickets meaning. That only 100 to 200 tickets are sold to those lucky soles. At the top of the list. Unless you're talking about foot care, I'd change soles. Also, I'd put a comma after tickets, or I'd change it to this:. According to published reports, 99 percent of Packers fans renew their season tickets , which means. You might look at.

Do you need a great editor? I'm available (tgilli52@gmail.com). Tuesday, July 22, 2014. A killer first sentence. James Garner, the wry and handsome leading man who slid seamlessly between television and the movies but was best known as the amiable gambler Bret Maverick in the 1950s western “Maverick” and the cranky sleuth Jim Rockford in the 1970s series “The Rockford Files,” died on Saturday night at his home in Los Angeles. He was 86. I prefer simple; it's easier to the reader. You might look at. Wipeo...

Once that was done, it had been her husband's Tom's, suggestion. That they look deeper into her Klingon past. That's a portion of a sentence I found in a novel. Here's a better way to write it:. Once that was done, her husband Tom suggested. That they look deeper into her Klingon past. It's a shorter (three fewer words) and neater way of saying the same thing. A book of ...

Do you need a great editor? I'm available (tgilli52@gmail.com). Saturday, November 17, 2012. Reminders for be and would-be novelists. That your lady fair is pretty or beautiful. Let us see the russet tresses flowing over bare shoulders, her green eyes, her wicked (or demure) smile. Or her pink, fuzzy sweaters. You're already getting visions, aren't you? And I'm just throwing out ideas. Use active verbs. Don't have your hero make his way here and there. Let him amble, stroll, bumble or slither....See s...

EDITOR@WORK: You really DO need an editor
http://tg-editor-proofreader.blogspot.com/2012/08/you-really-do-need-editor.html
Do you need a great editor? I'm available (tgilli52@gmail.com). Sunday, August 5, 2012. You really DO need an editor. Some people aren't sure. They need an editor. One "professional" writer once told me that she didn't need an editor. She could spell and write, she said. That's frightening to me; everyone — everyone from Joe Schmoe to a great writer like William Faulkner or Ernest Hemingway — needs an editor. I doubt that this woman is a Schmoe, but she's probably not a Faulkner or Hemingway, either.

Do you need a great editor? I'm available (tgilli52@gmail.com). Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Mock GM: Jackson to Eagles, more trades we want to see. The problem with this headline is Jackson. The Eagles traded DeSean Jackson. To the Redskins in the offseason, and I wondered why they'd trade him back to the Eagles in midseason. They wouldn't. The story is about Vincent. Not DeSean. The headline deceives the reader, and the headline writer should have realized that in advance. Freelance Writers and Editors.
