Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Today Em turned the big 2. To celebrate, this last weekend we had her 2nd bday party. There was an earthy, recycled presents and bug theme. There were all kinds of activities mama worked pretty hard at planning. There were even quite a few we had we did not get to. All the kids decorating little favor bags. There were fabric markers, stickers and some pins. This was pretty fun with lots of trading markers and looking at each others bags. Ember starting to dig into her cake.

Friday, July 24, 2009. Camping at Detroit Lake. We went camping with Ember for the first time. We went to Detroit Lake. For 4 days/3 nights. We had a great time. At night we could see lots of stars, sattelites and shooting stars. This was one of two emergency potty stops we had. Funny since we only had about an hour and half drive. Thursday, June 12, 2008. This last weekend we went to Silver Falls State Park. And did some hiking and looking at waterfalls. We only got a small glimpse of the park and a few of the falls out of the "Trail of 10 Falls". So we will definetly have to go back to see more sometime. After the car ride with a drowsy Ember. Far off view of North Falls. Em holding a clover while in the Ergo on Mommy's back. A smaller fall off the trail. Upper North Falls, 65 ft. fall. Up close to some run-off down the hill side.

Sunday, April 27, 2008. Trip to the Zoo. Today we went to the zoo and met with Madeline and her mom, Adrienne. It was a beautiful. Day and there were lots of people there to have to navigate through. Ember looking on as dad pets a goat. She seems to enjoy kicking her leg up on her wagon sides. Even with Daddy holding Em up, she's not quite as tall as a Polar bear on its hind legs. Em and Madeline having lunch in the wagon. Em was getting a little grabby at times with her friend's food. Walk in the park.
