Sunday, May 14, 2006. Chelsea Flower Show 2006 - an impression "from the coalface". The lead up to Chelsea Flower Show involves a huge amount of preparation, and things really start to come into focus when the model is "unveiled" to the media. This year, that happened on 26th April. After the phytosanitary inspection, the boxes were loaded into a container, which was flown to London, to be delivered to the Showgrounds at the Royal Hospital in London, on the Thames Embankment, about 24 hours later. A long...

Received a copy of British Woodworking today and found a great review of my book, great to read and it means all the hard work was worth it. The magazine is full of great useful information and projects, well worth a read. A very good review on your book Mark it is the first time I have seen this magazine and certainly is a good read. 29 June 2014 at 19:37. 3 July 2014 at 09:19.

Mark Sanger: Busy
http://mark-fullcircle.blogspot.com/2014/07/busy-month.html
Maker of turned and sculpted items in wood and mixed media. A place to show and share. Thursday, 17 July 2014. Well this month has been busy with work for galleries and other outlets, added to which some DIY work around the home was needed, not the most fun of things to do in the current weather but I guess it is better than working in the rain. It is a change to get some good weather especially after the floods we had through the winter and hopefully it will continue. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Maker of turned and sculpted items in wood and mixed media. A place to show and share. Thursday, 14 August 2014. It has been a while since I have posted any woodturning due mainly to being busy making and delivering to galleries. Currently most of my work is bread and butter bowls, hollow forms etc so nothing which make me want to get my camera out. Recently however I did attend a Rolly Munro demonstration at Burnham-on-Sea woodturning club which was great day out, pictures and write up can be seen here.

Deliciously named orchid cultivar. Another orchid on the kitchen table is blooming; this time it's the deliciously named cultivar Cycnoches cooperi. Dark Chocolate' × 'Dark Fudge'. Thanks to these lovely little flowers, I'll now be able to voucher this specimen and include it in my phylogenetic work. There's a quite clever illustration at the bottom of the second to last page in this article. That might help you visualize why the name is appropriate. Posted by Ryan Kitko. Im fascinated with the evolution...

New study on carnivorous plants makes headline writers batty. Before we get started, let me say that I forgive those who write headlines like pollution makes carnivorous plants go vegetarian. And carnivorous plants go vegetarian in response to pollution. And new study finds that pollution turns carnivorous plants into vegetarians. They know not what they do. It's also tempting to go after the flashy, attention-grabbing headline. Just try to do a better job next time, ok? A few days ago. Bravo! But severa...
