Blessed to be a Blessing: June 2012

Blessed to be a Blessing. Made to worship, born to love, forgiven and free, embracing surrender it's time to share. Monday, 25 June 2012. I was dithering for a number of reasons but the main one was the fact that there would basically be a room full of women, possibly talking about shopping, makeup, fashion, and other stuff I don't really get or have any interest in! Meanwhile the world goes on. April 29, 2015. There is little energy left after a day of teaching, performing, guiding, leading, correcting, suggesting, supervising, asking, learning…. 8230;so I turn to the internet. First hopping mindlessly from one thing to another, news, facebook, mails, before I land here. Why is this not good news for anyone anymore? Why are we, at least in the Western Church losing generations. But very few people really believe in moral relativism. Anarchists, perhaps. But most of us do believe in right and wrong; most of us are outraged at evil, at corruption. What spurred the anger at AIG bonuses? In reaction t...

Reflections on worship, faith, and life from a 30-something worship leader, composer, and family man. Friday, April 22, 2011. What would have been Good Friday, 2011. I've recently stepped away from a church that was my home for the last two and half years. This being a public blog, and the reasons for my departure having interpersonal dynamics, I don't feel like it's appropriate to go into details here, or now. Jesus' death on the cross challenges me not to do so. The Woman gave it to me, and I ate".

I grew up in the chicago area as the oldest of four kids. Although I had a ton of interests, it wasn’t until my junior year in high school when I quit the basketball and baseball teams to be in a musical and find what I was made to do: music. writing, performing, recording. . .anything! After majoring in music theory and composition at judson university. I joined the student impact staff at willow creek church. In January of 2009, I rejoined the Willow Creek.
