Literary musings in a nutshell – reviews, interviews, discussions. When people pass on lessons on writing, they often choose between two overplayed yet sensible pieces of advice. The first is ‘show, don’t tell,’ and the second, which I plan to discuss here, is ‘write what you know’. I decided to write about this need for authority instead. Not just a GP. Why GP is the greatest job in the world. David Chessor, Media Tart. 10 reasons why you won’t regret applying to be a GP! April 14, 2014. By Dr David Chessor. Applications for GP training opened this morning, and I couldn’t think of a better reason to breathe some life into my severely neglected blog, which is most of the time about how AWESOME it is to be a GP. I’ve written extensively. They might even outweigh you having to stare at my face. Too many times during the application process.
