http://annhawk.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 3, 2009. Into the Water on Salt Cay. And I went kayaking! Just a short paddle down to the Lighthouse Cliff and back. It was wonderful. Just in front of the Salt Cay Harbor a turtle was swimming on the surface. She popped under the water as I came closer. I stopped for a bit to see if she would come back up, but she was off somewhere else so I continued my paddle North. Out of the Water on Salt Cay. Calm, the tide is high, the sun is out and there weren't alot of other people around. Once the ...

Sunday, January 24, 2010. The wind picked up last night and the Seas just didn't look like a lot of kayaking fun. especially getting out through the surf. So this morning, we took a stroll to the South Point of Salt Cay. It has to be called a stroll because we had to stop a number of times for pictures and. Just a few brief "ahhhs". The first stop was to take some pictures of the Cactus Tree (Consolea (opuntia) nashii) growing along both sides of the road. You just have to walk along either side of.

Thursday, December 31, 2009. Pirates Hideaway on Salt Cay. There is a secluded oasis on Salt Cay and when the Seas are rough for swimming we feel lucky to be able to go to Pirates Hideaway. And enjoy the beautiful pool. Yesterday, I hopped on my bike with towel, water bottle and camera to ride South on Victoria Street to Candy's (aka Pirates Hideaway). The other ladies were already there when I arrived relaxing on the Salt Cay chairs and discussing New Year's Eve plans. Happy Birthday Debbie. :0). Salt C...

Sunday, March 3, 2013. Oldest Bike on Salt Cay. In the mud. To this day you can see the butt print in the road and the shorts I was wearing never came clean. Okay, maybe not the butt print in the road. They come in handy for carrying groceries, stuff that I find along the road, my computer when I have to bike somewhere for a connection, and my towel and a bottle of water when going to North Beach or Candy's pool. Notice the new seat? That's new this year! I love my bike. I've thought about getting on...

Friday, July 10, 2009. Salt Cay. you can get there from anywhere. When we left Salt Cay in May, there were very limited options to get to, or leave the island. I breathed a sigh of relief when I got ahold of a schedule of airlines and flight times! Mondays: PLS-SLX 6:30AM, SLX-GDT-PLS 7:00 AM. Air Turks and Caicos. Mike and Ann ar...
