Welcome to my laboratory! What happens when you mix 1 part Italy, 1 part Kentucky, 2 parts California, and 3 parts vegan? A whole lot of experiments. Saturday, July 16, 2011. Fried Zucchini Flowers with Basil. My little rooftop garden is doing splendidly, and I've been enjoying zucchini flowers. They have a beautiful, subtle flavor. This time, I stuffed each flower with a basil leaf before battering and frying it- the basil is the perfect complement to these flowers. Equal parts water and chickpea flour.

Junk food for mind and body. Sunday, January 9, 2011. Soggy Biscuits and Nut Gravy. Hello, old friends, here is a new post! I've been gone a bit, but of course I couldn't stop cooking. First, a reading update: I've delved deeply into Dick. And, I hope, come out with an improved understanding of the interrelationships between possible worlds, psychedelic hallucinogens, time travel, lost love, and the I Ching. I'd advise a shot at The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch. About familial fractures and the moon.

Or any ice cream substitute substitute, for example, ice cream). Why do this, you wonder? Wednesday, August 11, 2010. I've got a new fryer that lets me control oil temperature! Two facts about me:. 1 I taught a class called Understanding Philosophy through Science Fiction last summer. 2 I just watched Last Action Hero; it was amazing. Im thinking next year Ill teach this class again, but only use Arnold Schwarzeneggers fine films. Theres not space here to discuss all of Arnolds art, but every movie Ive seen yet has some serious philosophical content. Check it:. Great, more Gravy!

Junk food for mind and body. Saturday, April 30, 2011. Great, more Gravy! It's been a bit but I'm back; I've got three or four new meals stored up, but I only seem to get to half of my hopes, so I'll plan for a fresh pair of posts. Here's the first: following breakfast gravy. I've got some for dinner. And following a summary of a Dick book. I have a summary of a Dick book. Ubik is the best book by Dick. The last are two of Dick's fave themes- both are also around in The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch.

Answers: of course, Ive been busy time traveling (forward, at one second per second).  Im watching Lunopolis and chowing down on some tasty scotch eggs.  In this post-diluvian world, I was hoping to watch Escape from New York, to see the Kurt Russellian apocalypse. 160;But, alas!

Change what you think and believe and you will change your life. Unfortunately most of our thoughts and beliefs are habitual which means they often happen automatically, leaving us with little or no awareness of what is driving our behaviours or our choices. What is your philosophy on life? Are you even aware that you have one? We have all developed beliefs about life, the world and our place in it. These beliefs are your philosophy so the question is: do your beliefs support you or stand in your way?
