Tuesday, March 5, 2013. RUBY MOUNTAINS STUDIES with color.watercolor. Here is my next study of the. In my last post I tried the view of the mtns. during the afternoon . Most evenings, when the sun is setting in the west, the glow shines on mountains and forms a beautiful pink wash. It is difficult to paint and get the exact colors. Paintings from a natural frame of mind". Monday, November 26, 2012. Ranch Studies 1 and 2. Commissioned ranch study 1 8x12. Both of these paintings were done in preparation for a large painting that was commissioned this summer for a ranch owner in our area. I did 7 studies for them to choose from and now that the project is done I thought I would share the studies with you. Commissioned ranch study 2 7x16. I had a wonderful time working out at the ranch and in the studio on this commissioned.
