Hilary B - can talk. Sunday, 26 October 2014. The old black bird again unfortuntely. Oh dear - not a cheery post I fear. Some of you may have guessed from my somewhat quiet few weeks that all was not too good. To cancel everything for the next few weeks. I hope to be recovered enough to be on my stand at the Harrogate K S show … I will keep you all up to date. In the meantime, please bear with me – I find any sort of communication incredibly hard whilst my score so high – it is not that I don...I know - ...

http://hilarybeattie.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Hilary B - can talk. Thursday, 12 December 2013. Are you ready for this? More prints than you can possibly imagine . Firstly - apologies for taking so long to get these prints onto the blog. I have two excuses . one, I have got shingles and have been a little bit poorly for the last couple of weeks - but feeling on the up now. And two, there are just so many prints, it has taken me a long time to sort and upload them! I just keep seeing quilts wherever I look . A few bits of photoshop . can't resist.

Hilary B - can talk. Wednesday, 22 April 2015. Tidy Studio and other new phenomenon. I know it doesn't sound very likely, but my studio really is tidy. Not by choice or virtue I should say, but by the fact that this:. Only appeals to a very few people . and none of them are likely to be buying my house. So action was needed and I can honestly report it took about 4 times as long to sort out the studio as the rest of the house combined. I hang my head in shame . Past neatly organised files. Bet you never ...

Hilary B - can talk: January 2015
http://hilarybeattie.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Hilary B - can talk. Monday, 12 January 2015. New Year - something different . some playtime! Proper' work and have an hour or so to play. Hadn't got time to wait for a canvas to dry, so I found one I had wiped some old yellow and green paint from a roller on to (very much like I do in my sketchbooks - blank canvas can be just as intimidating). Horrid colours, but I just filled in the gaps with some blue and white - which gave me this (below). Jane suggests getting the paint out before you finish the col...

Hazel Twig: A bit of a day out
http://hazeltwig.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-bit-of-day-out.html
Friday, 24 July 2015. A bit of a day out. Managed to go to Cirencester on Wednesday this week to get some paper from the lovely art shop there. It meant I had chance to go and see the New Brewery Arts Exhibition which features lots of hares - 'The Names of the Hare'. Some by Jackie Morris and unusually for her there are three pencil drawings on huge sheets of paper. Very nice indeed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). One Time, One Place'. Monday, 27 April 2015. A Grand Day Out. On Saturday DH and I went to Prescott Hillclimb. It was the first time for me and the views were splendiferous! You can see the Malvern Hills in the background on this photo. You will notice I have managed not to include any of the competitor's cars in my pictures! This was the view further to the right from the top of the hillclimb track. We were blessed with fantastic sunny weather, although it was a bit chilly up the hill in places. Friday, 24 April 2015. Hilary B - can talk. Saturday, 25 January 2014. Never heard of a gelli plate . but boy do they make good collages! And quite amazingly, had never heard of a gelli plate! I love Lincolnshire to bits, but this is fairly typical of our style . we are a few years behind . and basically proud of it! Sue and Enid getting stuck in, plus my usual pile of destruction in the foreground . Carole and Clare deep in design and more mess of mine in the foreground . Carole and Margaret, also arranging their vases .
