@miniMum: Bee my Valentine!
http://minimalistmum.blogspot.com/2015/02/bee-my-valentine.html
Simpler - with children. Saturday, February 14, 2015. The camera loves ya). This post will be short and sweet, like its main characters. But it won't bee a quickie. On our driveway, two bumblebees are celebrating Valentine's Day in the best way they know how: making the bee with two backs. So as naturally nosy primates, we took some photos. (Also available on video.). Try another angle - beeautiful. Clearly they have adopted the theme song "Why don't we do it the road". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

@miniMum: Top 10 Toys for a Minimalist Family
http://minimalistmum.blogspot.com/2011/01/top-10-toys-for-minimalist-family.html
Simpler - with children. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Top 10 Toys for a Minimalist Family. Imagine you are a real minimalist mum. Not like I am, writing about it on my computer in utter middle-class suburban bliss while surrounded by a houseful of things I am still trying to tame. And odds are, not like you are either. Instead, imagine you are a mum who does not buy a toy for her kid "just because" . ever! Think about the tabula rasa. My Top 10 Toys. Soft toy (animal or whatever). Could that be enough?

Ki-do: a blog about health and happiness - isn't that what we all want?: March 2010
http://wayofki.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Ki-do: a blog about health and happiness - isn't that what we all want? I'm a budding yogini, shiatsu practitioner, and writer. I started this blog to help me clarify my thoughts and learning while setting up my shiatsu practice in Devon. Expect to find topics ranging from shiatsu, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, zen buddhism, life, the universe. and pretty much everything! Wednesday, 31 March 2010. I felt taller, stronger and I knew that I had to explore this yoga stuff further. Of course there are times...

Simpler - with children. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. The RH John Kreepy's new twist on Dirty Politics. Who can I credit for this? The scene - a popular Antipodean cafe. Somewhere important people go. Middle-aged Kreeyp and his first wife are regulars here.]. I'm bored. I'm So Booored! When is that coffee coming? Do I have to talk to my wife to pass the time? Bored, bored, bored.Oh Look! A young perky waitress. And she has hair. I like hair. Like hair a lot. Especially long silky hair in ponytails. About to ...

@miniMum: Faking maturity on Facebook: underage accounts
http://minimalistmum.blogspot.com/2014/12/faking-maturity-on-facebook-underage.html
Simpler - with children. Thursday, December 11, 2014. Faking maturity on Facebook: underage accounts. What I've always wanted to know but been afraid to ask. So I'll risk general offense in the hope of getting some answers. Why the fake account for your kid who is legally too young to be on Facebook? I know you know it's there, because s/he's in your friend list. Why I haven't and I wish you wouldn't. It allows your child to send private messages to other Facebook users. Are they growing up too slowly?

@miniMum: Got Guilt? Motherhood, Sacrifice, Breastfeeding, and Dairy
http://minimalistmum.blogspot.com/2011/09/got-guilt-motherhood-sacrifice.html
Simpler - with children. Thursday, September 15, 2011. Motherhood, Sacrifice, Breastfeeding, and Dairy. Motherhood and sacrifice - where to start? Google it for 2.8 million hits and keep on going. The story of Jesus's sacrifice is known worldwide - yet first Jesus's mother Mary gave of her body to him by breastfeeding. There is an entire genre of art dedicated to this - Maria Lactans. Mammals and our milk. All of us mammals produce milk for their young - it's why we're called mammals. Cows are kept perpe...

@miniMum: Obesity: Supporting satisfaction instead of surgery
http://minimalistmum.blogspot.com/2015/01/supporting-satisfaction-instead-of.html
Simpler - with children. Thursday, January 29, 2015. Obesity: Supporting satisfaction instead of surgery. Hot news from down under - a couple of surgeons who perform bariatric (stomach-stapling) operations would like to perform more of them on us. And would like tax money to fund their work. The media is running their advertisement as if it were a public health statement. I've battled weight problems. Is not a tenable general treatment. Battling obesity en masse. May I see the source please? But I am eve...

http://minimalistmum.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Simpler - with children. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Vegan burger at McD's - Lest we forget. News flash on the local Auckland vegan network: you can get vegan burgers from McDonald's now! In some very limited outlets, you can use a touchscreen to create your own gourmet burger. Guacamole, mushrooms, tortilla strips, lettuce, tomato and tomato and chilli relish - sounds delicious! So is this news to be celebrated? Yeah, nah. Time to watch (or re-watch) McLibel. Yes, I have taught my daughter to boo when we ...
