Wilbanks chapter of a Congressionally Chartered group of Combat Wounded Veterans. Many people do not know of our group. We have departments in almost every State in the Nation. American Legion Post 201. Alpharetta, GA 30009. An Unforgettable Experience Honoring Those Who Will Never Be Forgotten. A tank, helicopter, Navy gun, and, an Air Force T-33 Trainer, are part of the exhibit. The M60 tank, used in Europe during the Cold War in the 60's thru the 80's in the Fulda Gap, weighs 93,000 pounds. American Legion Post 201. Alpharetta, GA 30009. American Legion Post 201. Home of The Old Soldiers Day Parade. Founded in 1946, Post 201 occupies 13 acres and exists to serve the country's war veterans. It is home to a memorial that pays tribute to U.S. veterans, family and friends through a walkway of almost 8,000 bricks inscribed with the names of Georgians who served in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard. A collection of military equipment adds to this moving experience.
