Thursday, 9 September 2010. A Painted Lady today in suburban Stevenston was the only one I've seen this year. A couple of Small Coppers were on the Ardeer Brownfield land at Garnock West and 3 Small Heaths were at Bogisde Racecourse. I had one too in my garden last weekend. Earlier in the week, another Migrant Hawker watched through a telescope as it sat on a tree at Garnock East. Tuesday, 21 August 2012. She is built of steel, with an overall length of 29 metres (97 feet) (not including the bowsprit, which adds about 8 metres onto her overall length), and has a traditional square-rigged brig layout.
