Big Eye Mine is a great four wheeling destination for cool weather in the Kofas. The mine is marked on maps for the wildlife refuge. No vehicles are allowed at the site, so you will have to walk uphill a little over a quarter mile to the cabin. The mine itself lies further north of the cabin. Clothesline posts still standing.
