Friday, December 26, 2014. Teddy Bear Tea and Christmas Eve. I am still catching up on our pre Christmas fun. We had a great week of Christmas! Caroline decorated every square inch of her gingerbread cookie. Ms Claus came to see our table. Big smiles and hugs for Santa. Pretty decorations throughout the hotel. These wands and princess dress up gloves were a big hit, and the girls have been "freezing us" with the wands quite a bit. Love the serious face on Caroline as she casts a spell :). Caroline loved ...

Wednesday, November 28, 2012. The year Ben and I got married we decided that the best way to celebrate holidays with our respective families was to alternate holidays and years. This year it was Thanksgiving with Ben's family and Christmas will be with mine. (Although we do celebrate Christmas with both families every year . just not necessarily on the actual holiday). We arrived in Knoxville on Wednesday evening and relaxed with Ben's aunt and uncle and brother after we got Wyatt to sleep. We then went ...

Monday, September 29, 2014. Last Day at Disney! Our Disney vacation flew by, and we were sad to see our last day arrive. Caroline got to open a couple last birthday presents since we never finished opening on her actual birthday. One last picture on our balcony before we checked out and headed to breakfast and The Magic Kingdom for one last day. (Lauren was there, but was not loving the picture idea). One last cupcake and birthday celebration at Disney World. The Little Mermaid ride, and Pooh's ride.

Friday, June 29, 2012. Easy Come, Easy Go. I think before Wyatt was born, and really even now, the things I've thought would be the biggest struggles have turned out to be no big deal. I say that without exception. Nursing? No problem . that was easy. Dropping mid-night feedings? Not a problem. Weaning? Not hard at all. Taking him out of his swaddle? Easy peasy. Moving him to the crib (from our room)? No issues. Taking away the bottle? He never even missed it. Although he wasn't using them in public, he ...

Monday, August 31, 2015. Ending Summer with a Bang! As a continuation from my last post, we had a lot of fun wrapping up summer with lots of fun adventures around Atlanta. This post covers what we did the last few days leading up to Caroline starting First Grade. Amy and Papa did the ropes course with them, while Mimi and I stayed down below with the two younger cousins, Lauren and Catherine. They did the smaller ropes course that they love while the others were on the big ropes course. The little girls ...

Monday, June 29, 2015. The Girls' Special Trip! Mimi and Papa took the girls on their annual "Girls Only" trip to Kiawah Island recently. Caroline and Lauren love having their own special trip just the four of them, and they are certainly treated like two princesses all week long! This year, Mimi and Papa left on a Sunday morning and returned very late the next Friday night. They stayed at Mimi and Papa's "Villa Coola" at Kiawah and had a wonderful time! We finished our fun tennis evening in a 6-6 tie!

Thursday, May 24, 2012. Two years ago today, I woke up at Northside Hospital. I was 8 days past my due date, and my midwife had insisted that I must go ahead and let them induce labor. I kept hoping and hoping that I would go into labor on my own, but it was not to be. Shim was a stubborn little thing! So, I had checked in the night before and they started the induction process about 6:00 am on the 24th of May. How in the world can I encapsulate your little personality in a simple blog post? You don't li...
