I Should be in Bed | Sheep The Diamond
https://sheepthediamond.wordpress.com/2015/06/11/i-should-be-in-bed
Thoughts from a Part-Core Gamer. I Should be in Bed. June 11, 2015. I really should be in bed, but it’s the last school night, and I just can’t help staying up a little late. Anyway, I won’t commit many more posts to this, if any (maybe one more), as I suspect the Riot team’s going to get tired of dealing with me, but I figured I’d let you know how it’s been playing out. Sorry it took a while to get back to you. Please let me know if you have any further questions,. Player Behavior and Game Support.

Thoughts from a Part-Core Gamer. It’s a Wrap: Many Games Finished Over Holiday. January 11, 2016. Over break I had a glut of free time which I used very “productively” by finishing a lot of the games I’d been playing and starting and finishing new ones. Thanks to the Steam Sale, of course, it didn’t make an actual dent in my play queue, but it was nice to rotate out some titles nonetheless. The first major achievement was finishing a “normal” game of Dungeon of the Endless. Image Courtesy of Kotaku.

Lie or Quit? | Sheep The Diamond
https://sheepthediamond.wordpress.com/2015/05/31/lie-or-quit
Thoughts from a Part-Core Gamer. May 31, 2015. I’ll be honest up front. You can add this post to the “Stubborn makes a huge production out of basically nothing” pile, like when I got stuck in a zone in Star Wars and the c ustserv reps just kept not reading my tickets. But really I only had to wait 18 hours for my fleet pass (Hearthstone) to cool down. I got pretty upset about that, since it was a waste of time, but in the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t. That big a deal. Before, and I’m not going...

Thoughts from a Part-Core Gamer. Stubborn is a high-school teacher, a community college professor, a tutor, a husband, a son, and a consummate gamer. He plays WoW mostly, but also a variety of pen-and-paper games, board games, and card games. He reads avidly and is always looking for suggestions about new authors to devour. Leave one →. Kilo Tango Yankee | Sheep The Diamond
https://sheepthediamond.wordpress.com/2013/06/17/kilo-tango-yankee
Thoughts from a Part-Core Gamer. June 17, 2013. He found this amusing (one of his positive characteristics is how easily he’s amused; just mention certain scenes from Ren and Stimpy to him and he’ll be rolling on the floor in laughter), and it worked as I’d intended as a stop to whatever tangent he was about to go on, so the phrase did its job. So consider Kilo Tango Yankee at your disposal when someone’s being Mr. Buzz Killington; I know I will! Stubborn (and a terrible picture editor). You are commenti...

Why we should all /ignore /ignore | Sheep The Diamond
https://sheepthediamond.wordpress.com/2011/11/11/why-we-should-all-ignore-ignore
Thoughts from a Part-Core Gamer. Why we should all /ignore /ignore. November 11, 2011. Predators love to see this. WoW’s not exempt from this trend, either. In fact, it encourages it. In the ultimate act of “out of sight, out of mind,” every time you see someone behaving unacceptably in WoW, you’re encouraged to use /ignore. And demanded an apology for the unacceptable behavior. They followed Blizzard’s advice to the fullest: they policed their community. Everyone can see what happened. It serves multipl...

PAX Round Up 2014 | Sheep The Diamond
https://sheepthediamond.wordpress.com/2014/04/14/pax-round-up-2014
Thoughts from a Part-Core Gamer. PAX Round Up 2014. April 14, 2014. I’m in a very satisfying position right now, sitting before my computer in my own home, having slept in my own bed, with my buddy playing The Stanley Parable for the first time, so I get to hear him play through and the decisions he made. PAX was great, but it’s always nice to come home. I’ll talk a little about it a little each day, talking about something great and something lousy each time. It was a great experience. Look, I’m n...

BURGLED! and Other News | Sheep The Diamond
https://sheepthediamond.wordpress.com/2015/07/14/burgled-and-other-news
Thoughts from a Part-Core Gamer. July 14, 2015. Don’t worry, reader; my house wasn’t actually burgled, (and to be perfectly honest, I know I shouldn’t be making light of such a serious violation in relation to a video game occurrence), but my home in Ark was. In other news, I finished episode 2 of Life is Strange. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first. The first’s novelty and prophecy is going to be hard to beat, and the somewhat lack of danger (except due to foolish antics) left the s...Died Now th...
