L.A. State: What, I can't even kiss you now?
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010/04/what-i-cant-even-kiss-you-now.html
Tuesday, April 20, 2010. What, I can't even kiss you now? Welcome to the San Diego Zoo. After our chill evening of card games, we headed out bright and early down the 5 to see hundreds of the coolest and most exotic animals around in one of the world's largest wildlife sanctuaries. It took us seven. Hours to see the whole zoo- but we did it! Erin was wicked excited to see them. However, there is a lesser-known species of panda called the Red Lesser Panda that is oft-overshadowed by the Giant Panda. I...

L.A. State: February 2010
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 27, 2010. This is not a bad thing. You're finally growing up. At this rate, you'll have reached a high-school maturity level in no time. We'd only been inside for a few minutes when we got sidetracked. A brief venture into a gift shop so Kristin could buy sunglasses turned into us spending too much time trying on all of the silly ear hats. Then it was time for the first ride of the day: Buzz Lightyear! Which Jenn is ridiculously good at, by the way. And it's probably my new favorite ri...

L.A. State: If I were you, I'd keep things running as normally as you can.
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010/04/if-i-were-you-id-keep-things-running-as.html
Saturday, April 24, 2010. If I were you, I'd keep things running as normally as you can. After crashing early post-zoo adventure, we awoke the next morning with plans for a fun-filled Easter. We were all definitely missing our families a little, so we decided to combat the homesickness with an Easter tradition: egg dyeing! Between that and a few cracked eggs the activity was not going great, but we persevered, streaming Sojo and enjoying our Easter spread. I'm still not sure quite how it happened, but th...

L.A. State: These games have got to stop, Maxwell.
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010/04/these-games-have-got-to-stop-maxwell.html
Wednesday, April 7, 2010. These games have got to stop, Maxwell. TGIF Am I right? For our Friday celebration, we went to PINZ for some bowling and celeb-spotting. Tonight's celebrity? After our round of bowling fun, we headed to the bar to grab drinks (except Erin, who is sadly two months away from 21). The bartender felt bad that I had to wait for him to serve other customers, and gave me a drink on the house. Thank you, PINZ! All in all, a fun night out! April 7, 2010 at 10:36 PM. When I hang out with ...

L.A. State: I know about the money you made throwing games for the frat.
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010/04/i-know-about-money-you-made-throwing.html
Monday, April 5, 2010. I know about the money you made throwing games for the frat. While Erin was finishing up the week with her family, the rest of our crew had to find something to do. And with LA's weather, that could only mean one thing: the beach. Josh used to live in Manhattan Beach, which just happens to be one of the beaches we hadn't yet explored. Mapgar readily accompanied us on our "insiders' tour," and Nick promised to join us a few hours in. What did we discover? We are all freakishly.

L.A. State: January 2010
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 24, 2010. Well, I really am famous. A lot of people would be really excited to talk to me. It had to happen. We were trying so hard to avoid being tourists, but how could we justify being film/tv kids in Los Angeles and never. Seeing the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Site of the Academy Awards? The footprints outside of Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Photo cred to Laur for this blog's pictures :). Signs that this is the Times Square of LA? So, what did we do? Let's make some sweet, sweet music toge...

L.A. State: March 2010
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 24, 2010. She's already planning to come visit again. What was supposed to be the final day of Anthony and Liz's visit was also the first day of my parents' visit! They've been planning this trip ever since I started planning for my semester in LA, and it was really exciting to have them here and show them around. Technically it was the week of our "spring break," but it was really only a break from classes as we still chose to attend our internships. The Young and the Restless. On Holly...

L.A. State: This game is rigged. I'm callin' the cops.
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010/04/this-game-is-rigged-im-callin-cops.html
Monday, April 19, 2010. This game is rigged. I'm callin' the cops. We frequently document are goings-out and fantastic travels, but sometimes, we do just.stay in. This blog doesn't always make that clear, but sometimes the most exciting part of the night occurs around our kitchen table (but if you know us, you probably know we don't mean "our cooking"). So that Jenn and I had the chance to show Erin around the lot and the set. She could compare it to The Young and the Restless. I'd show you pictures, but...

L.A. State: It's not going to be perfect at first.
http://la-state.blogspot.com/2010/04/its-not-going-to-be-perfect-at-first.html
Wednesday, April 7, 2010. It's not going to be perfect at first. Despite the valiant efforts of Chris, Nick, Lauren and I, Jenn was victorious once again. After dinner, we headed to the Regal Cinemas downtown for a late showing of the movie Hot Tub Time Machine. There was only one proper way to wrap up a gorgeous, sunny weekend: Sunday beach day! Turns out we had parked much closer to the marina and pier than the actual beach. We wandered along for a ways, figuring we couldn't be too. We made a quick sto...
