قلما شعرت بالإنتماء… لا أدري أكونها نعمة أم نقمة. عرفت فتاة خجولة, تنقصها الثقة, تثقل خطواتها تظرات من حولها و دوي التعليقات الغير مسموعة لتسلخ لب العقل و القلب. فهي سمراء, بدينة, سوداء و كثيفة الشعر, ذات صوت منخفض يكاد لا يسمع. ناهيك عن رشاقة و جمال والدتي في الصبا و من حولي من فتيات ليزداد الثقل و التثاقل. هناك في المدرسة لم أستمتع باللعب مع المجموعة, كنت لاشيء, أو ربما هذا ما لاح لي…. كنت و ما زلت الغريبة. مراهقتي بدأت و إنتهت كهبوب نسمة صيفي ة, أنا لم أشعر. أنا لم أنتمي…. وطن خالي التفاصيل هو وطني.
