Saturday, December 31, 2011. Resolution #2: More Long Walks with the Dogs! New Years Resolution #1. On the eve of the new year, it is once again time for me to think about my resolutions. They usually revolve around diet and exercise, but this year I feel that they will involve fine tuning of the habits I have adopted. Resolution # 1 : Eat more whole foods! The recipe can be altered depending on what is in the cupboard or your taste preference in legumes. 2 cans of beans drained. 1 can of corn drained.

Uncorked, unhinged and uncensored. . . Thursday, February 16, 2012. Polish meatballs (an old family recipe.with a twist). I used to ALWAYS have ground beef in the freezer.I check the sales every week.and whenever it was a decent price ($1.69 or less per lb.) I would stock up. But for whatever reason.I haven't seen ground beef go on sale in over a year! And with the every day price being comparable to that of a decent steak.I just can't bring myself to buy it :/. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Thanks We aren't Giving Presents on this Holiday. This is a reprint of a previous Turkey Day Hint page. Some additional tips this year as I am doing my own research for dinner for two and since I am working and everyone is out of town this year something quick and easy for me and my Poppi. Diary of a Foodgod. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Restaurant Review: Ruyi in Lexington. One of my occasional problems is buying too many online deals for dining out. I do not plan my time for these as well as I would like, and I end up with vouchers that I can't really use. I was facing this problem with my second voucher for Ruyi, so last week I went there for lunch during one of my less busy days. Wednesday, November 23, 2011. With apologies to Edward Gorey and his Gashlycrumb Tinies, which I adore.

The Dinner Diaries of an Intrepid Amateur Chef. Begin At The Beginning – Maybe. Initially I had intended to post this blog in a chronological order that mirrors the manuscript it's based on. However, I've discovered that the postings make more sense if they follow the seasons. It seems appropriate to be reading about Christmas during the Christmas Season and shad when they start running in the spring.
