http://randars-blog.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness. Friday, February 23, 2007. Festival of Beards Week. In honor of my first attempt at growing a beard, this week was the first (annual? Festival of Beards Week. After not-shaving for a week over Christmas, I decided to just keep letting in grow out of curiosity. Well, Jenni and I had both finally had enough of the "mountain man" look. Here is the weekly array of beard configurations for Festival of Beards Week 2007:. Monday's neatly trimmed beard:. Links to this post.

Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness: July 2006
http://randars-blog.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness. Monday, July 31, 2006. Why is it always 95 degrees on Moving Day? Has anyone else ever noticed that it somehow manages to always be 95 degrees and 90% humidity on summer days when you are moving? On Sunday we moved Jenni out of her apartment in Baltimore and, of course, it was ridiculously hot and humid. This bears the second of this 2-part question: "Why do moving vans never have functioning AC? How do these SUV-drivers afford groceries? This is, of course, all in pre...

Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness: January 2007
http://randars-blog.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness. Tuesday, January 30, 2007. A few updates on the house. The downstairs bath, while "finished", still lacks a mirror or toilet paper and towel holders. We simply cannot find anything that remotely matches our sink in an oil-rubbed bronze finish. Here are a few pics of the garage to take a look at the "final" product with lighting, windows, drywall and cars (sans paint/plaster)! Posted by Randy Brace at 3:45 PM. Links to this post. Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness: August 2006
http://randars-blog.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness. Thursday, August 24, 2006. The wall is no more, but now we have water. While I was out shopping and getting cement board, drywall, etc for the bathroom and laundry room, Jenni calls me in a panick about Dusty having caught a bird! How does a dog catch a bird? Is this further confirmation of the barking cats theory of small dogs? Posted by Randy Brace at 9:56 AM. Links to this post. Wednesday, August 23, 2006. A week of planning, contractors, and more planning. With Jen...

Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness: October 2006
http://randars-blog.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness. Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Well, we have met several of our neighbors since we moved in and everyone has been very cordial and "neighborly". However, it's funny that they have all warned us of our one "crazy neighbor" who calls the police on everyone and is a general pain in the ass. On Monday night we got a chance to meet said neighbor. And the story goes something like this:. Is this person pathological or just bored that she needs to create this kind of drama?

Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness: December 2006
http://randars-blog.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness. Thursday, December 21, 2006. One more update before the Holidays! Well, all is going well on the renovations. We are painting the laundry room and getting ready for our trip to Tahoe for the holidays. The windows and siding are essentially complete minus one snafu with the ordering of windows for the kitchen. Turns out the contractor ordered a bigger-than-needed window for the kitchen and forgot to call us to ask if it would be OK. Posted by Randy Brace at 5:06 PM.

Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness: September 2006
http://randars-blog.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness. Tuesday, September 26, 2006. What is the price of caulk? Friday night I got a call from my parents asking to have their chainsaw back after I had borrowed it a week or 2 ago to chop a tree down that was growing right next to the foundation of our house. Well, after some needling, I convinced my dad to come up and pick it up himself and help out around the house with the primary current project, laying the floors in the 1st floor bath and laundry room. I took some pictu...

Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness: November 2006
http://randars-blog.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Randar's Stream of Unconsciousness. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Pace of working picking up steam. The workers didn't waste any time either. In one day all the siding was gone and the house was covered in Tyvek. They even covered most of the windows, so it was a bit like living inside a paper bag, especially when the wind was blowing. Yesterday we had the first 3 windows hung and the siding started going up on the front of the house! Take a look (click to see a bigger version):. Links to this post.
