It is a self catering cottage containing everything that is needed for a family holiday. There are extensive fenced private gardens which are surrounded by open countryside. There is ample parking for up to 3 cars. Outside the cottage there is a bench and picnic table for evening bbq’s or just to enjoy the sunrise or sunset. Cottage entrance and parking.

The restored Norse mill from the Viking era is accessed via footpaths from Breacleat and is signed. Bosta Beach. A stunning beach in a small cove. Quiet and secluded its a perfect place to spend a day on the sand or in the water. With clear blue waters and soft clean sand, it could almost be the Caribbean.

Guests arriving on the island for the first time will either come by ferry to Stornoway,Tarbert or Leverburgh, or by plane to Stornoway. The drive to Hacklete involves crossing the Atlantic Bridge between the Isle of Lewis and Great Bernera. The water flowing underneath is the Atlantic Ocean.

When hill walking or climbing it is a good idea to check the forecast before departing.
