Thursday, March 1, 2012. The little lady arrives. Her other brother has his doubts. The Target jaunt did the trick (especially since we ended up having to go to the other. Vancouver store, even further up the highway). By noon, I was on the phone with my doctor's office, playing the "How far apart are they? The first blessing was that my admission nurse was the same fantastic woman who delivered Lucas three years ago. I'm sure she felt good and stalked when I squealed, "KY! My epidural wore off.

Thursday, May 13, 2010. We celebrated our boys' birthdays in April. Lucas turned one and Eli turned three (and I turned 25, again) within days of each other. We threw them a joint birthday party in the park. We had to reschedule the party and move to a new location at the last minute, so we were thankful for flexible and understanding friends. The theme of the party was Up! My favorite animated movie ever. Luke's first year of life. A couple of other random notes on life:. And our adopted hometown, and I...

Our Cleft Lip Journey. It stresses me out a bit. We have reverted to getting naps in the swing and car seat and he is refusing to be put down in his crib. I don't mind dealing with all this but when I have to rely on someone else to do it for 12 hours, it worries me. I am hoping for some major changes in the next 5 days. Sunday was a replay of the night before. He slept off and on in his swing. Luckily, my mother-in-law was here and took over at 5 am so that I could catch a few hours of sleep. I am a gra...

Our Cleft Lip Journey. This Memorial weekend we spent it with our great friends Jeff and Lauren in Lake Chelan. The weather couldn't have been better! Visiting the local fire department, go cart racing with daddy (Dan and I both agreed that the $7 was worth it to see that smile on his face) and put-put golfing (Uncle Tom would be proud! Tyler-isms of the weekend. Sounding very frusterated as he was trying to get to sleep with a stuffy nose, "Mommy, my nose not working! Mommy, why I can't fly". I guess he...

Our Cleft Lip Journey. Our Cleft Lip Journey. January 21st, 2011 Dan and I walked into Seattle Ultrasound anxious yet excited to find out what this little bean was going to be. Never did it cross my mind that baby #3 might have something wrong. Baby #3, afterall, was going to be my girl. I was a horrible mother. What did I do to have hurt my baby? Did I cause this? The coming weeks were full of doctor's appointments, ultrasounds, genetics appointment, and tears. Each day I woke up only to remember th...

Our Cleft Lip Journey. Look what Tyler did at school! Okay, so this may not be a big deal to all of you but it is for me! I will leave out the part about where the nipples are! The things that we get excited about are pretty crazy huh? I just had to share this one. Here is what happens when you leave your kid with Auntie Lauren and Uncle Jeff too long. They turn into a democrat. Tyler now proudly marches around the house chanting "Go Bama! Tyler and Claire goofing off after swimming lessons.

Our Cleft Lip Journey. I ordered Tyler this daddy doll a few weeks back and ironically it came the day after Dan left. Tyler was pretty upset this morning and asking for daddy so I decided to get it out. All I have to say is this is the most amazing this ever! It is just wonderful. Tyler ahs been carrying it around (yes dan, inside the hosue! And talking to it all day. I will be the first to admit that I am not much of a wrestler, that was Dan and Tyler's thing! Well, if that didn't just break my heart.
