The first Ten Two Studios Design Team challenge for 2012 was to make Anti-Valentines in response to Valentine projects we had done in the past. I collaged some black-ribboned chipboard hearts and "Bloody Valentine" Artist Trading Cards, using images and text from the Ten Two Studios' Anti-Valentine. And Black and White. Collections plus some vintage poison pharmacy labels. Check out the front page of Ten Two Studios. The Art of Peace.

I'm in this 'zine! Art Marathon - Finish Line! More Art Marathon fiber art. Who has time for housework? Sunday, July 15, 2012. Art Marathon - Finish Line! Made it to the finish line of the Cream City Illustrators Art Marathon. By completing 26.2 works of art in 30 days. For my fractional portion, I counted the pieced and quilted background, part of which became an experimental 3-D fabric house ornament. After free-motion quilting, I used some fabric paint and stencils to even out the patchwork a bit.

Sample Illustrations and more. My children play carefree in the masses of colorful leaves. They are innocent and heartless in their trampling, heaping and jumping. I rejoice in their play, beginning to contemplate their future, their destiny in the light of this season. The very idea Fall conjures up images of falling leaves, burning piles of them, and the ringing of axes as they chop firewood. While each of these images. Are positive, gilded by nostalgia, their analogies seem ominous, if not foreboding.
