Journey to Bionic Hearing. The Why of this blog…. And it’s on…. Sorry for not replying sooner. It was overwhelming and underwhelming, if that makes sense. Keeping my expectations low did not happen, and I was disappointed in the activation. However, I keep turning over new leaves almost every hour…but by end of day, I am tired (okay, it’s only been 48 hours LOL). Since Thursday, I have heard the following:. Journey to Bionic Hearing. The Why of this blog…. I am going to try to write down examples of what I can/can’t hear just to record pre-implant experiences. I have trouble locating sounds. For example, when I am waiting for the elevator, I can hear the ding…but never know which elevator it’s coming from…so if there are 3 on one side and 3 on the other, I almost always spin a 360 in order to find the one that will be opening soon. I will often walk away and not realize that someone is still talking to me.
