One man's journey through Bipolar Disorder and modern America. Drug interaction problems a.k.a. I lost my car. December 4, 2009. It was like being drunk, high, and tripping all at the same time, but without any paranoia. I wasn’t frightened by what I was seeing or hearing because I knew it was the meds. The trouble started when I got a call reminding me that I was late for an improv rehearsal. I said “Whoops! My sister is getting married this weekend! November 6, 2009. So no blog posts! The Professor and the Madman. March 4, 2010 @ 5:01 pm. 183; { challenges in education. I was in class last night and we were discussing a recent novel we read called The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester. The book chronicles the making of the first English Oxford Dictionary. A man by the name of William Minor had a big part in compiling, over many years, much of the information that went into the book. 2 Comments ». On March 5, 2010 at 10:01 pm. Auntie | Coping and Hoping

February 16, 2010 @ 12:58 pm. 183; { Uncategorized. My great-aunt passed away last week. It was a difficult and emotional time for my family. Auntie lived a full life, she was 100-years-old when she died. She was sharp until the very end. She never had any children so my cousins and I became like her surrogate grandchildren. She was a very special lady. 1 Comment ». On February 25, 2010 at 10:36 pm. Feed for comments on this post. 183; { TrackBack. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

February 27, 2010 @ 10:27 pm. 183; { challenges in education. These charter schools seem to really be building something. They focus on discipline as a way to get through to the kids and help them create high standards and expectations for themselves. And based on their test scores and the success rates of their students, many of which are going on to high education, these schools are the bright spot in an otherwise suffering public school institution. February 4, 2010 @ 6:33 pm. 183; { coping with Schizoaffective Disorder. The price of living with a mental illness. For my last grad class we are reading classic poetry and I happened upon a poem by Walt Whitman called To a Stranger from his masterpiece Calamus. After reading it for the first time, it didn’t really grab my attention, but after discussing the poem as a class and being enlightened by other English minds–the poem definitely resonated with me. The only way to find the answer is to try to rek...

We are currently on spring break and a few weeks after we return, I am going to be teaching the book. Three Cups of Tea. Reading the moving book has inspired me to think philanthropical as well. As I read I thought, wouldn’t it be great to give back to a community in need the way Greg gave to the people in the book? I don’t think now is the time to start moving mounta...

Bipolar In Balance - Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my Blog. There's a Storm Brewing - Denial, Teenage Years and Diagnosis. It was July 2013 and I was noticeably quaking in boots on this particularly sunny afternoon. This was the day that I took my first trip to see the Psychiatrist. They think I'm crazy and need to see a doctor to alter what is essentially the very fibres of my personality?
